We stayed here for my 40th birthday and really enjoyed the luxury of the hotel and its facilities. We were upgraded to a suite which was an additional treat. The staff were helpful and the buffet breakfasts were wonderful. The hotel is situated just along from the Ponte Vecchio so was perfectly located. We found everyone friendly and efficient. Room service was quick and the coffee excellent.
all reviews » The room here was the best of the any of the 5 hotels we stayed at in europe. The bathrooms were new and spacious as was the room itself. The staff went out of their way to recommend and make reserrvations at local restaurants and assisted with luggage. The breakfast included was perfect and staff here were extremely pleasant. I appreciated the helpful staff, the delicious breakfast buffet, the very attractive and comfortable rooms (not overly luxurious, but well-appointed) and the terrace bar with a lovely view. The bartender, Massimo, is one of the best bartenders I have ever met! Also, the location is excellent. Location was excellent. The breakfast buffet was by far the best my wife and I had in Italy (4 cities, 4 hotels). Our room was impeccably clean, large (although admittedly we were bumped up to a suite at no cost so I don't know what the superior doubles look like), and comfortable.This hotel was excellent!!!!! The staff was very friendly, bent over backwards to accomodate you and gave us personalized treatment. The hotel is situated right where you want to be. The center of everything!!! Price of drinks in bar.no in-room tea / coffee facilities for that early morning cuppa before breakfast - I know we could have used room service but the tea would be luke warm. its often booked up a long time in advance !. Air conditioning controlled by main Reception staff , it was veryfrustrating to have to contact them to put it off when we wanted it offand then again when we wanted it back on !. The staff lacked friendliness and warmth, I thought. They were VERY professional, but not very warm.Maid service was a little bit variable (no turn down service one night,room not cleaned till 1700 one day). I did not like the attitude of one of the receptionists when we checked out. She repeatedly spoke only to my husband, when it was clear I was paying the bill and I had made the booking.Our room did not have a very nice view. It was facing Uffizi which is under renovation. Also, it was very noisy due to the construction works in progress at Uffizi. The price for the partking - 40 Eur is a bit too high!. no internet facilities in room . if have, should be free of charge....internet is not luxury good, it is important like shower.

By Car:
From Florence Airport Amerigo Vespucci and the motorway (Firenze Nord):
- Head towards Porta al Prato and then follow the signs for LungarnoVespucci.
- Once you are along the Arno River, cross Ponte Alla Carraia and then turn right and cross Ponte Santa Trinita.
- Turn right in Lungarno Accaiuoli and pass in front of Ponte Vecchio. After a few metres on the left side is the hotel, on the corner with Via dé Georgofili.

From the motorway (from Siena)
- Exit La Certosa:
- Follow the signs for Porta Romana, take Via Romana (that became Via Maggio) until Ponte Santa Trinita.
- Turn right in Lungarno Accaiuoli and follow as above.

From the motorway (Firenze Sud):
- Follow the signs for Viale Europa and Viale Giannotti.
- Once you have arrived in Piazza Ravenna, take a right to Lungarno Ferrucci , past Piazza Ferrucci.
- Continue to Lungarno Torrigiani and take a right, passing in front of Palazzo Pitti.
- At the end of the street, turn right in Via Maggio until Ponte Santa Trinita.
- Turn right in Lungarno Accaiuoli and follow as above.
