One of the best hostels I've stayed at. Check in was simple, and the people were very kind. It's a huge hostel/hotel so it doesn't have the general "hostel atmosphere" in main areas, but I stayed in a female dorm with 5 other girls, and made instant friends! Also the most impressive part of this hostel/hotel is that they have just about every convenience you can imagine! From a delicious included breakfast, to laundry facilities, free filtered water machine, and hot water for making tea etc.
all reviews » The staff we're nice and obliging. 24 hour reception and no curfew. The rooms were great and kept quite tidy. Bathrooms were kept very clean which was nice. Free wi-fi was awesome. If you want to spend your last day exploring- you can leave your bags at the hotel and pick them up later so you don't have to take them around with you all day. The restaurant was great- cheap but good food. Breakfast was lovely and a big selection. Friendly atmosphere and in a great location. Just five minutes from. I lived in the adjacent hotel Mia Cara (same hotel but with deluxe rooms instead of hostel rooms). The room was big and well-furnished, it also had a pc in it. The breakfast was surprisignly good for Italy, a lot of choice: vegetable mixes, omlettes, different kinds of bread, even the desserts had variety. The breakfast room was too crowded though, but I guess that's logical :) The location is nice as well - it's about 7-10 minutes walk from Duomo square and about 5 minutes walk to the smn trai. -Staff are nice & helpful. -Wonderful garden, although we staying in a female dorm of 6, the garden provides us a good place to chat and enjoy our time. -Free walking tour hosted by the hostel is highly recommended. Since Florence is a small city, the walking tour and the tour guide can let you to experience and to know more about this lovely city. -Room is big, bed is comfortable. -There is a computer in the room and 5 computer in the public area we can use for free. That's good for backpa. I liked everything! It's close to S.M.N. and really easy to find (cross the road, turn left and then right up a narrow street, you'll see the sign). The location is perfect for whatever your plans in Firenze is, shopping or sightseeing or just walking around taking in everything Firenze has to offer. There were all kinds of people there, families with kids, backpackers, older people, people with disabilities, etc. The hostel has a very friendly atmosphere and it is easy to meet people if you wa. - We booked superior triple room and were housed at Mia Cara property, next door to Archi Rossi. - Very spacious room - Free computer (with big screen) provided, with internet - Free walking tour of Florence, which we utilized and enjoyed very much - Excellent breakfast - Advantage of comfort with Mia Cara and backpacking convenience with Archi Rossi (laundromat, free hot and cold water, 24 hour service) - Accommodated request for breakfast earlier than usual 7 am. We were in a 6 bedroom all female dorm. The staff was very friendly and helpful, there is a free tour every morning. The breakfast was not excellent, but free. It has very good hangout areas whether you're outside or in the cafeteria. The rooms were clean as well as the bathrooms location was great as well. I would recommend this hostel to anyone who is a budget traveler I was very pleased with my stay at Archi Rossi. The location of the Hotel was fantastic - so very close to everything and only a five minute walk from the Railway Station. Loved my room, had all that is wanted although the bed needs a new mattress. The buffet style breakfast on offer each morning provided a very wide variety of food and drink to choose from - very good indeed. The outdoor garden area was lovely and a great area to retreat to. Last, it double than what you paid. :). We booked a double room and we were given a room in the near 3star hotel called Mia Cara. Good location near train station. Short walking distance to all points of interest. Many restaurants around the hotel. Good breakfast with cold and hot options. Beautiful garden with sofa. It is a good option to rest after a busy and tiring day. Comfortable bed. Large bathroom. Great location, next to train and buses. Walking distance to many key sites, Uffizimuseum, Duomo, market area! Price was great value. We had three in our family and got our own room with bathroom. Breakfast was all u can eat. Decent selection. Good laundry facilities. Free Internet - both wireless as well as public desktops for use. Enforced curfew hours (11pm). I stayed in the Mia Cara adjacent to the hostel as i booked a double room I suppose it is the same management.I liked the close proximity to the SMN railway station. The breakfast was excellent.Internet provision complete with the desktop provided in the double.room. All tourist spots are easy walking distance and they are pelnty of eateries close by. The hotel was centrally situated in close walking distance to the station as well as the major sites. It was value for money and the hotel staff were most accommodating. A great breakfast and lovely area to have a drink in the courtyard. Note that although we booked at the archirossi our room was in the hotel next door which was perfect for us. Since we had booked a two bed room, (not a dormitory room ) our room was not actually at Archi Rossi , but at the sister hotel next door, Hotel Mia Cara. The hostel itself is really great and I would definitely recommend it to travellers who are going to Florence. It is just 5 minutes walk to Santa Maria Novella train station. The thing I liked most was the breakfast. It was various and the best breakfast I had in my Italy trip. Free wi-fi is available in all areas of the hostel. We stayed as Double Deluxe Room, booking was done in Hostel, but we turned out to be checked in at Hotel Mia Cara 3 stars for the same booking, close to Hostel (seems it's the same network). Hotel was perfect, real value for money and even more. Close to the train station, to the city center, everything within a walking reach. liked every thing, breakfast was very good lots to choose from, friendly & helpful staff, close to train station & some good restaurants. room was nice & very quiet, bathroom was massive for a single room only downside was the lift was very very slow but not a problem only if you have to rush back to you room. This is one of the best hostels that I have stayed in. The staff were friendly, informative and helpful (better than many working in the rated hotels). There are many shops and restaurants around the hostel. I stayed in a 4 female dorm. It's very nice, there is a bathroom inside and there is a wardrobe. Breakfast was good and variety. You can use the internet wifi in bedroom. The private room hotel is next door to the Archi rossi and are totally separate from the dormitory rooms. It is a beautiful hotel. We stayed in a private room with ensuite bath. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and it also has a very nice patio. All the employees spoke English. What a great place, we were put into mara cara next door, staff friendly and helpfull, so close to train, restaurants, markets, breakfast has a huge selection, Clean and comfortable, would recommend it my husband and i are rather fussy, and would stay here again. The location !!! it is very close to train stations however, being in Florence place prepare yourself with rock street on the way to hotel but I don't mind. I was travel with group of friends 6 of us enjoy to stay here and you can meet new friend here too !!!. Location location location!!! Few mins walk from main station, closed to supermarket and walkable to visiting places. Staff were nice. Room was clean and comfortable. Wifi was available in room. Breakfast was very good, you could eat as much as you can!!!. Garden was especially nice and beautiful!!! And a breakfast was very tasty. When booking a private room you actually stay at the attached Hotel Mia Cara. Very spacious, comfortable and handy to all the hotspots of Florence. Archi rossi is for share room good for backpacker booking private and you will stay in beside building in different hotel name, very privacy. The location is very good, walking distance from all tourists attractions and trains, and in a not-so-crowded area of the city. There is a sheep restaurant on site, but I recommend Nero restaurant less than one block away. Friendly staffs with many support, I ask for hairdryer and it's free. Room is clean and big with 6 bed-room dorm. But the room in the 1st is better than ground floor. Definitely recommend for solo-travellers. Proximity to station, major sight seeing, markets, shopping. The cheap dinners were excellent, especially because the entire hostel congregates around the dinner tables, giving one an excellent chance to make friends! Overall an excellent experience!. When we got to Hostel Archi Rossi. They sent us to the Hotel Mia Cara ( which is beside the Hostel Archi Rossi) Great location, The hotel is close to attractions, train station, restaurant. Wi-fi was a little slow. Computers are provided but they don't have a web-cam or microphone so you can't skype but if you have a phone with internet and skype you're golden. Nothing was wrong. -Hope can see more golden fish in the pool maybe. Mosquitos, lots and lots of mosquitos.. They have aircondition but nobody told us how to get it to work so we slept with the window open (you have to close the window, open the panel on the ac and turn it on). - Old, slow elevator, but that was not a big deal. At first the graffiti and writing all over the hallways was a bit misleading. The mattress on my bed was in need of replacing - very uncomfortable. Be careful with the elevator. It nearly does not work, taking 1 minute to go 1 floor upstairs. Better use your feet. Quality of breakfast could be a little better but it was still reasonable. Nothing. I would have actually given 5 stars this hostel; but break 1 star as the reception staff was very reluctant and they didn't provide room cleaning in my 2-night stay. nothing. Breakfast doesn't start until 7:30am - a bit late if you have an early train to catch, shame to miss out on their delicious breakfast!. Nothing. Would be nice if they had more washers and dryers. They have 2 of each, but one of the washers were out of order for 2 days. Perhaps they could put washers and dryers in the private room hotel. No towel and amenities provided, please bring it along. It's quite noisy during the night coz my room was near to the restaurant. Wish I had a room with fewer roomates--but I booked late so thats on me. Parking is hard to find, but it is a general problem in Florence. Everything was wonderful. The computer with internet that is provided in the dorms is very low. WiFi works well in the common public area but it is a different story when using in the dorm. I had to pay the hotel bills in cash as their credit card verifier "declined" my card. I tried using my card in other establishments in Florence and it was accepted!. The WIFI sucks. Shower is not that good. Our room had problems with drainage in the shower and sink and that was unpleasant, also wifi was very often disappearing so sometimes to get connection I had to go round the building. However I most probably would go back to Archi Rossi. 1. The wifi was not working all the time. However, it is understandable since so many people are using it and some of them may misuse it (download something) 2. The heating was not working in our room. Everything was wonderful. No complaints. The staff on the desk at check in were not very fiendly. Nothing!!!. It is a hostel - noise level could depend on groups staying. We were lucky - all the young people were fantastic and friendly. I don't have any complaints about it. The plastic plates, cutlery and coffee cups at breakfast were not good. Also the pillows and mattresses should be replaced as they are like bricks. Very noisy corridors and stairway due to tiled floor and thin walls?.
