  This is a great hotel! It is a unique melding of old and new-- modern touches blended beautifully with old world charm. The location is quiet, and the mountain views we had from our room were absolutely breathtaking. The owner provided exceptional customer service for us, such as printing maps for us, advising us what to see, where to go for dinne... what people say » r and even calling ahead to see if the restaurant could accommodate a gluten free order and securing the reservation for us. It is easy to walk everyw - The hotel itself is at once historic and modern. The room was very clean and had modern furniture and an upscale feel. The staff was super friendly- told us about the area, kept our key for us while we were gone, and even lent us an umbrella! Although we didn't have time to use them, there are also fun board games available for guests. Finally, the breakfast is abundant and divine. There is everything from eggs, ham, and cheese to 6 types of cakes and cookies. And, of course, they brew wonderfu

  The staff helped us find places we wanted to visit, helped us get on the Internet, served us a complimentary lunch snack when we arrived and looked out for all of our needs. - the price for the room was very reasonable, the hotel was easy to get to and clean...and not to far from the slopes

  El Tiglio's hosts are warm, welcoming, and friendly. We visited Castel di Sangro to do family genealogy research. Mario and Massimo made it a memorable experience. The Inn is comfortable, very clean, and charming. It is a very convenient location and you can walk everywhere in town. One of the highlights is Massimo's incredible homemade breakfast ... what people say » pastries. Mario was extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations. In addition, he went above and beyond to help when I needed to get an unexpecte - A perfect stay! Mario prides himself on taking great care of his guests and it shows. Mario is warm and gracious and makes the BEST fresh squeezed blood-orange juice in all of Italy. The juice alone is worth booking a room at Hotel il Tiglio but everthing was delicious. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. The location is perfect for sight-seeing. And Mario? Well... go stay at his hotel and you'll see how wonderful he is. :)
