We strongly recommend this small hotel, especially if you like individual atmospher and friendly staff in a great location. We had the Maria Cristina suite, which is really nice and comfortable. Location is great, in the middle of the city center, but in a quiet residential street with traffic restriction. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. He gave us two really good recommendations for lunch and dinner, and explained us how to reach the beach, which is really easy by public transporta.
all reviews » We booked a junior suite at The Place, on arrival, we were met by Luca. He was very friendly and helpful giving us restaurant recommendations and describing the different areas of the city. Our suite was gorgeous, very spacious and beautifully furnished. The breakfast is very good quality and plentiful. I couldn't recommend The Place highly enough, it's in a great location for exploring the city. After some helpful commnication prior to our arrival from Luca, he was there to meet us on arrival and provided some great restuarant reccomendations. The Place is very well designed and decorated to a high standard, the location was perfect and central to the city. All the staff were courteous and helpful, would stay here again and will recommend The Place to friends and family. Very central location within walking distance to the main plaza in cagliari. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to assist with restaurant and recommendations for local beaches. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was more than adequate by european standards with fresh pastries, fruits and cold meats and cheeses. Would definitely recommend staying here!. Luca, speaks great English and couldn't be more helpful. He made dinner reservations at local places and the food was fantastic. My wife and appreciate good food and the locations were excellent. We left early and the night before brought us small breakfast night before. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to all. Everything was just fantastic! Very helpful owner with lots of information what to see and what to do around the hotel. Where the best places to eat are and so on. In the foom they put complimentary water. Breakfast was nice. Lots of cakes, fruits, tasty cappucino, yoghurt. Deffinetely enough! I certainly suggest stay in this hotel. The location was perfect, within walking distance of everything, but in a quiet street. The Marie-Christine suit was extremely comfortable and the jet shower was an added bonus. Luca, the owner, was there to meet and greet us and provide us with information and map of the city. I would definitely return and recommend it to friends. I didn't stay there myself but booked it as an anniversary gift for my parents. They had a wonderful time and absolutely loved it. It was in a beautiful part of town and they were made to feel very welcome. After hearing of how much my parents loved it, I'm looking to take my girlfriend there next year. Luca the manager was so helpful; had an accident and broke my foot, came to the hospital to give me and my companion a lift back. Was ready to help should we need it. Ie If we could not fly home due to the injury had arranged alternative accommodation just in case. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice and sufficient. You might hear some noise from the other rooms (especially the shower) or from the stairs, but that depends on the room you have. We recommend the rooms on 1st or 2nd floor, not on the ground floor, as they are located close to the entrance door. Only recommendations I would make would be to have robes in the suite for relaxing and to inform guests the mini bar must be paid in cash. No elevator so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. Nothing, could not be better!!. Some of other guests were smoking in the court and the smoke was coming in our room. But it may be disturbing only in low season, when people want to open window. When is high season, I suppose, outside is so hot, that noone wishes to do that. Personally, I would have liked the option of brown toast and muesli, and for the cappuccino to have been stronger - but I understand everyone has their own preferences for breakfast. No private parking. The hotel doesn`t have a restaurant. But there are a lot for any taste nearby. Not perfect: weak wireless internet signal in the room; I've seen better breakfast selection at many other hotels in Italy. nothing at all to complain about. Nothing to dislike - superb. We had the room beside the entrance at street level. Better privacy on the other two floors. Nothing to dislike. Nothing - it was a perfect stay. nothing. Small tv screen!. Nothing. N/A. Plumbing was a little noisy as is sometimes the case in old buildings. The air condition that practically didn't work, at least in our room. Unfortunately we did not get the room we were promised. The shower was very tiny for some almost 2 meters tall Breakfast was a bit marginal. Couldn't fault the Hotel. Nothing in particular. There was nothing not to like. Ground floor room got a bit warm at night. Limited Breakfast menu. Television was a little small for the size of the room, but this was not a major problem. Nothing. Shelf in bathroom was slightly wonky and my stuff fell off. Not completely organised to make the most of tourists.
