This is my favourite hotel in Tel Aviv. It's a great hotel for both business and leisure travellers. We always stay here because it's easy to walk or get a taxi to meet with our clients, and it's a block off the ocean or a few block walk to Neve Tzedek for excellent restaurants. The whole hotel is elegant, spotless and quiet. But what really sets this hotel apart from everywhere else that I've stayed is the staff. The people who work here welcome you like family. all reviews » I loved everything of this hotel and really wanted to expand my stay, if I could. I say like this just because I had such treasure moments at De La Mer Hotel. Every staff were moderate, but really helpful. Their Israeli full breakfast was absolutely fabulous as well as nice morning Cappuccino with genius latte art. Plus, their Toiletries made my eyes lit up. Shampoo, soap, shower gel, body lotion were Dead Sea Cosmetics as a comp. I'd really appreciated it. Plus, Location. I'd say it couldn't b. Breakfasts at the De La Mer Hotel were fantastic - during the remainder of a 23-day trip in Israel and another country no place we stayed even came close. We were there two mornings and the offerings changed each day. Unbelievable variety and incredibly delicious. The location is great - just a block away from the beach. The owners are lamenting the construction of a high-rise which will block the ocean view, but unless you're planning to spend your day in the hotel, this should not deter you f. We arrived at 9:30 AM and checked our bags expecting to wait until the afternoon for our room to be ready. The receptionist offered us breakfast and we were very surprised with the variety of food available. We were also offered an espresso coffee. After a long walk to Jaffa we returned in the afternoon to our room. The bed was very good. We would return again. We had an early morning taxi ride to the airport. The staff arranged everything and they were very helpful. the hotel is very nice. Small, but quite and clean. The staff is very friendly and happy to show you how to come around, plan your trips and where to go out and enjoy. There is a terrace at the top floor which allows a nice view on the beach and magical sunsets, but you can also enjoy sunbathing or drinks there. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits are available 24/7. The beach is just around the corner, 1 minute walking distance. I look forward to my next visit. Staff could not have been better and this comes from a person who has spent their life focused on customer service. Location was fantastic and room had a gorgeous view of the Mediteranean (which unfortunately will change as a new high rise is being built in front of them. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, especially when it came to getting directions to different areas of Tel Aviv, and deciding which restaurants and shopping spots to explore. The rooftop terrace is secluded and a lovely place to spend time with friends, and the hotel's location (5 minutes away from the beach and other amenities) is superb. Our first view of the hotel was disconcerting - it was the side facing a busy street and the next door construction. But once we turned the corner we knew we were in the right place. A hairdryer would be helpful, perhaps on loan at the desk. The shower is very small. The view of the sea is nice, but the window is small, reflecting the Art Deco design. Near the hotel noisy workers build a lot of new apartaments, if you open a door or window of your room. Food is usual and not different, kitchen doesnt work after breakfast, you cant have a supper in a hotel, you need to go out. There are 2 buildings under construction adjacent to the hotel. We were there during holidays so fairly quiet. Might not be ideal for honeymooners or those that need quiet. The Wlan was not really reliable; it went on an off very often and that was a bit of a nuisance when I wanted to work. No adverse comments. The shower stall in the bathroom could have been a little larger. Neighborhood hotel is in is not in great condition, but this didn't affect me. Honestly, some very high end hotels on the beach are next to some not so great looking regions. They need to tell cleaner to knock the door before she comes in... We had rental car and street parking was a nightmare. Hotel only has 3 spots, so dont count on getting one. We got two tickets and dont know why- thgt we parked legally. Some staff more friendly and helpful than others. - Rooms smell like mildew (guess its due to the wet air in tel aviv) - no hairdryer - the "Kempinski" is building a hotel directly between the hotel and the sea... so the sea view isnt going to last any longer =/ (till now its still there). The hotel is surrounded by building sites at the moment!. There was a building site opposite. The air conditioner was noisy initially but too much noise outside to open the windows. Bedside lights were not working nor were ceiling fans in bathroom. intensive construction works were performed in front of the hotel Sea view will disappear soon because of a new building construction in front of the hotel. The wardrobe was too short for my dresses! (and I'm not that tall!!). There was no refridgerator in my room. The location although near the beach was on a busy road, with two building site adjacent the hotel that are nowhere near finished. Very noisy so earplugs essential. The shower cubicle was small. Tried hard to think of something, but cannot find a down side to the holiday. Shower stall is too small. Television didn't work. Construction site disturbed my beach view. very small room, high price for this service. A water boiler and coffe inside a room will be handy. But they have at the flat 0...But still, sometimes people would prefer that at their own room. Just an advise.... do not have any disslikes. The price was a little high. Everything was fine. No refrigerator in the rooms. It is a little bit far from downtown. One of my stays, I had a room next to the reception. This was noisy and the receptionist was watching TV next door.
