  Abbey House has old world charm. It is beautifully decorated and has lovely antique furniture. The owner, Helen, is a delight. She was extremely helpful in securing a reservation in the one restaurant that was open in the village on a Sunday evening. The restaurant, Sol Bistro, was amazing by the way. The room at Abbey House was spacious, clean an... what people say » d quite nice. Of the 7 days I spent in Ireland, the breakfast at this B&B was by far the best. The house is situated in a picturesque setting with - Staff were absolutely lovely - breakfast finished at 10.30 but they were still taking orders at 10.55am! Fresh rainbow trout for breakfast was delicious. House is absolutely beautiful and the scenery is fabulous. Looking at Jerpoint Abbey out the front window and the old mill out the back....great! Our triple bedroom was very large and comfortable and in general the B&B had such a sense of history, it was lovely to walk around and just look at the pictures on the wall. Beautiful place,

  The most beautiful place i stayed in in Ireland. It's located near Kilkenny, Thomastown and Inistioge in the countryside and it is absolutely wonderful, quiet and peaceful (near the Nore Valley trail- which is very recommended!) The house is gorgeous, the food is superb, the rooms are comfortable and very beautiful. seriously, it's a boutique hot... what people say » el. And the hosts, Julie and Paddy, are wonderful and helpful! I don't have enough words to thank them for such a great stay. also, we traveled by bus - Julie was such a lovely hostess and wonderfully attentive and helpful. Our room was immaculate and comfortable; breakfast was delicious and filling! The setting is refreshingly pastoral, with sheep in the field 'next door'. Our visit was a much-needed respite from a busy itinerary and somewhat blustery weather -- so relaxing -- then off to local Jerpoint Abbey and Jerpoint Glass, which were both highlights of our time in Kilkenny!
