  We had a pleasant experience of staying in the Newbury Hotel. We arrived late, after the check-in time of 12am and were greeted by the night- porter who was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location on the main street; it doesn't look great from the outside but inside it's nice and clean. We were a group of 3 female friends and w... what people say » ere given a room with 4 single beds which had nice chunky furniture and everything that we needed. The car park at the back of the hotel was also secu - The rooms were lovely and plenty of space.The bar downstairs had a lot of local people and a good pint of Guinness.Its alway a good sign to see locals.The food was great and the breakfast you can have at your leisure.We had ours at 12 pm which gave us plenty of rest time.Well worth a visit.

  We loved the place from the friendly, helpful and courteous staff; its cleanliness, the ease with which my wife could get about (unfortunately dependant upon a wheel-chair), the choice of food we enjoyed both facilities; and the excellent location of the hotel, so easy to find and ample parking. The swimming pool area is superb. While I did not (... what people say » at 85) avail myself of the gymnasium facilities they appeared to be excellent. - - the Chinese restaurant is probably the best in Ireland fantastic food. - the bar manager was very attentive, there were no tables of empty glasses, we received a basket of crisps even though they didnt sell them. - it has to have the quietest rooms in any hotel in Ireland, not a sound from the adjoining rooms or halls. - Excellent breakfast cooked fresh, real fresh orange juice.

  Very friendly, lovely comfortable rooms. Unexpected bonus of spa/small gym. Central location meant we did plenty of exploring. I travelled with my brother who is a wheelchair user.   I thank God for Ms. Aideen and Mr. Martin, they made me feel like a family and not some kind of sales resource. It was our first time in Ireland and they both went out of their way to help me get to town, literally walking me and guiding me in driving around the places I needed to go to for my kids needs. Very cozy, beautiful, homey, loved Sonny and Cher Donkeys, the sheep, and th - I cannot speak too highly of this B&B. It ticks ALL the boxes! The welcome extended by the Ginnell family was exceptional. I was made to feel at home from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble for my hosts. The house itself and all the amenities are luxurious, but at the same time homely. It is in a beautiful, peaceful location with breathtaking views from the windows. The home cooking is first class. Tremendous value for money - I look forward to staying here again very soon!

It is about a block from a supermarket with later hours, and directly across from a value store that carries a wide assortment of items, but closes earlier. The washing m - The staff were excellent, willing to do anything with a smile! Location excellent, we had an apartment town centre, overlooking a small lake and town park. Beds very comfortable. No noise at night. Kitchen lacked utensils (not even a tea towel) but the staff supplied us with anything we asked for with a smile. Overall excellent, and would return if occasion arises. Highly recommendable!

  The Owner/Manager was very helpful and friendly. We stayed here while attending a wedding at the Bloomfield house hotel. Taxi just 10 Euro and 5 minutes drive. Nice to be in the town for a walk about the morning after. Will stay here again.
