Lovely location with deck on the riverbank, perfect for relaxing to the sounds of the river & frequent heron visits. We were upgraded to a larger room with easy access to the garden & river. Eileen (hostess) was excellent - friendly & helpful. Very good full Irish breakfast with excellent alternatives offered( - my husband loved the porridge with baileys cream, I fondly remember the pancake with lemon syrup). Easy walk into Killarney made it easy for family members to enjoy the town.
all reviews » Fantastic attention to detail with everything. Our room overlooking the river at the back was out of this world. The breakfast was the best of the best we have ever experienced. The friendly welcome by Eileen with the offer of a cup of tea on the afternoon we arrived was a lovely gesture. This was our 2nd visit from Sydney in 3 years to Crystal Springs and was as good as ever. Indeed a wonderful experience and a great plus for Killarney. We arrived to find out that there was a bike race happening on the Ring of Kerry the next day. We had to start our day at 5 am Eileen was very accomodating and provided our breakfast on our return and extended our check out to allow our family to freshen up for the long day ahead of us. She was awesome!!!. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Eileen an excellent hostess. Marvellous breakfast, especially the porridge. Spotlessly clean. Large beds. Quietness at night. Choice of books to read in each bedroom. Information on places to visit and best restaurants to eat in. River running at rear of property. The staff were amazing. So friendly, helpful and attentive. Their breakfast was insanely wonderful and as well as the location being beautiful with the stream at the back, the little touches inside made this a great place to stay and I will definitely go back . Breakfast was very generous and presentation of food was of a high standard, room was spacious and environment stunning. Afternoon tea made for us every day, stayed 3 days! Eileen was the perfect hostess, thank you!. Had no control over heating in room,was switched on evening we arrived but not after that,felt room very cool like airconditioning but it wasent.The need to use taxi to and from town at night if weather is dodgy adds €7 each way, which can add up over few days,unless u dont drink alcohol and so can drive in.Its a 30 minute walk in otherwise weather permitting. Nothing specific. Nothing, would happily stay again. Absolutely nothing. Nothing. A little cluttered. Having to pay in full for night that I had to cancel unexpectedely. A little more expensive than most B&B's. Zero. That I had already booked our next travel stop instead of a second night here. Couldn't walk anywhere you had to drive. This bb was probably the nicest we stayed in but it was a little to fancy for a family. No view in the bedroom. Our room was very cold. I asked if we could adjust the radiator, but she said it only is off or on. Also, the gathering area was freezing. Large marble or tile floors & was too cold to sit down there. Temperature in the room and the bathroom was cold... nothing everything was outstanding. That we could'nt have spent a longer stay !.
