The friendly staff especially Michelle who worked at the spa. she made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was finished at 10:30 rather than 10:00, which made a nice change and the checkout time was also later than usual giving us a chance to enjoy the leisure facilities again. Hotel was spotless. Upgrade to executive room at no extra cost a wonderful surprise. Reception very welcoming and helpful. Ease of access to city and on to main roads. Plenty of secure car parking.

Perhaps. you could consider indicating on your dinner menu and bar menu in particular, dishes that would be suitable to coeliacs and vegetarians. the food was overpriced and not nice at all. bar could have been bigger and more seating needed. The cost of the room should include breakfast in my opinion. no directory of services and facilities in the room. i like to look at the list of services such as room services and what the beauty salon can offer etc. maybe it was suppose to be there but we did not have one in our room. Bit of a queue for breakfast, check-in and check-out - with large numbers around for a wedding and a bank holiday weekend they were stretched staff wise. Bit far from the town centre for me, I'd have liked to walk home after the pub. Not cheap but got a deal with dinner included so it was ok.Our rate did not include breakfast which turned out to be expensive. At €200 per night this is not cheap. The hotel corridors, reception and bar/restuarant were cold. We got a ground floor room( 156 or 157) which was opposite reception and did not have and blinds!!! So everyone who was in reception could see straight into our room unless we closed the curtains - which you dont want to do at 4 in the afternoon. Apart from that it was grand. the reception staff were not particularily welcoming. Noisy and boisterous guests in next room on first night - had to requestmove to new room after first night.The heat in the hotel room even with the windows open and the noise fromthe childrens playground at 8.30am Saturday morning. Our room was in an older part of the hotel, we asked if we could be moved to the new part but were told there were no other rooms available. 1 receptionist was a bit abrupt when we requested a taxi. very poor lighting in the bedroom. Very little natural light in the room. Rooms not easy to find. A slight stale smell in the room upon arrival. Restaurant very disappointing and food cold. I didn't like the way i paid 180 euro for a room and we were sent down to the last room in the hotel, which was old and small for what i paid for. When we asked for a different room it was no problem, although i had to tune the channels on the tv, it was more modern and spacious and i couldn't see why we could not have got this room in the first place.Expected more of a hotel which was rated 4 star. When we checked in we found our room was not made up . We were given another similar standard roombut our first impression was very poor. Dinner was fairly ordinary. Some of the young waitresses in the restaurant could benefit from further training. Yes one of the rooms was in the old part of the building and the staff could could not explain why when 2 double rooms where booked together on line together why one was in the new part of the hotel and the other was in the old part away from everyone else yet they both cost the same price but the rooms could not be compared.Yes the room was disgusting. We were put in an old room at the back andit cost €500 for 2 nights! A total disgraceful price for the state ofthe old fashioned dingy room. It was like a 2 star hotel standard. Alsofor that crazy price breakfast was not even included. I am so annoyed Istayed there. They are 'refurbishing' - not good enough they should nothave charged that so. 1. Impractical design of shower in the room which resulted in the bathroom floor being flooded each time we used it. 2. Cheap quality toilet paper for a 4 star hotel which cost nearly 200 euro per night. 3.Very poor room service. On the 1st day we vacated the room at around 11am and returned approx 4 hrs later to find that the room had not been serviced. The same thing happened on the 2nd day.Yes, We had booked two rooms only to find that one room was already occupied, when we tried to access. There was poor communication with regard to whether we could avail of the restaurant menu in the Bistro given that the restaurant was full at 8.30pm. We were a party of 4. One of our party returned a meal as tasteless, The person concerned is a resterauter. Decor needs revamping,food was unappealing,leisure facilities require updating.
