    I had a great weekend here. Your host has always lived in the area, and is very involved with community groups - can steer you in the direction of all the best and most interesting things to do. And there is loads to do .... walking (Westmeath Way and Grand Canal Way), plus bog and hill walks. Fishing - lake and river. And visit the historic Kilbe... what people say » ggan Distillery. Only an hour from Dublin - so a great first or last stop from the airport. Dan, your host is also a keen gardener, and welcomes you t - The owner is an absolute dote - very caring, open, made me feel really at home. I loved the breakfast which catered for my food intolerances: rice milk, quinoa porridge and juices made from fruit and veg from the owner's garden, apart from the usual rashers and sausages.
