The staff were amazing, so friendly and really helpful running up to the weekend we were staying there. Eamonn was helpful and gave us good advice on where to in Galway. The rooms were spacious and clean, very comfortable and the location was excellent. It was just off Eyre Square so everything was a stones throw away. Would definitely book this again. Galway is incredible. Eyre Square Townhouse is a fantastic value with an incredible location that our group enjoyed tremendously. It was our only accommodation in Ireland that provided everything as promised, with a central location to boot. Chris and Eamonn at the front desk were both fantastically polite and helpful.

The next day we had a glitch in our travel plans and he spent over 30 minutes with us helping us to find a solution to our travel conflicts. He was so helpful and pleasant. The location is great. I loved the room. It was a nice quaint room, suited for one person. Everything was in its place and was welcoming as soon as you walked in. The staff were lovely. I arrived late for check-in and my keycard was left at reception when I did arrive. Communication was excellent. The Eyre Square Townhouses were not only affordable, but clean and friendly as well. When it comes to a centrally located place for weekend accommodations, I highly recommend Eyre Square Townhouses. I'll stay there whenever I travel to Galway City Centre. All the staff were extremely helpful. The location just off Eyre Square couldn't have been better, it was so central. We were worried that there would be noise from the pub our room overlooked, but there wasn't - not sure if that was just luck!. Left my wallet behind me in my room after I had checked out. The hotel, Tommy, actually rang me re the wallet. I was on my way home to Waterford. The staff were first class, so helpful in every way. I will stay there again. The best thing about this place is its location. It is right in the center of everything and, since we depend on public transportation to get around, it was perfect for us. A little noisy at night but that is to be expected when staying so close to a main street. A bit noisy from the outside. Though that is expected from a city centre location. My only complaints are: the electric kettle needed some closer attention and if there is a disruptive bunch, the walls are unfortunately not as sound absorbing as one may like. Have to go up steep stairs to reception, no rooms on ground level, and no lift - not exactly wheelchair friendly!. Being in city center, there is bound to be street noise. We could have closed our window to shut some of that out, but we left it open. About 2AM, it got a little noisy because of people returning home from the bars. Because it's so central it can be quite noisy, also the tiled floors means can hear the guests above but these are minor complaints. Nothing. The windowless bathroom where, in order to make the automatic light turn off, the door needed to be shut. Smelt very musty, unfresh. Would improve if the door could be left ajar. could have used another shelf in the bathroom for our toiletries. Nothing. No lounge facility in guesthouse. Galway v expensive!. Shower room to small space v restricting. Rooms a little bit small but have everything you could need. Shower door didn't close fully. Thin walls. Quad room is bit too small for 4 adults and bathroom smelled of mould. no lift as i have arthritis it was hard going up the stairs once I was up I didnt want to leave my room : (. Smell of cigerette smoke lingering in the hallway. Parking is very limited. Nothing really. It took me a bit of looking to find it as it is upstairs on a retail street, but that is very minor. no bath. Reception was unmanned when we arrived. Toilet and shower were blocked. The raucus noise from the kitchen directly below our window was a bad surprise. The staff already answered. all good. Wi-Fi worked poorly in my room.
