Ocean Crest B&B provides excellent bed and breakfast accommodation. It offers panoramic views of Galway Bay, within 20 minutes' walk of the city centre. Comfortable rooms are well furnished, with en suite facilities and a TV. Some have beautiful views of the ocean. The property also offers an apartment with ocean views, located 10 minutes' walk from the main bed and breakfast, and close to the seafront. It has a kitchen and a lounge. Ideally, the B&B occupies a fantastic position on the promenade in Salthill. Staff are friendly and welcoming, with plenty of local knowledge. Galway Golf Club is within close proximity to the guesthouse.

The stuff was brilliant,always ready to help us with everything we needed, they also helped us to organize the trip the cliffs of moher and aron inslands!they kindly let us check-in earlier. The room was big and clean and we also had access to the courtyard. The structure is a few meters away from one the beaches of Galway-awesome!!! There is a bus station within a few limits, where you can easily and rapidly get to the city centre or walk along the lovely promenade and get there on foot ( 15 m.
all reviews » Myself and a buddy were up in Galway for two nights for a friends birthday and we were delighted with the service we got at Ocean Crest. Our room was clean and comfortable with a strong hot shower. Plenty of dry towels were supplied on both nights and we got a breakfast that would keep you going all day. Despite the weather being cold the room was kept at a lovely temperature. Sharon, the lady of the house, was very pleasant to us and helped us out with any requests. Friends of ours that stayed . Definitely the best location we stayed in in Ireland; Super friendly host; you won't find anybody nicer than her! We were 2 students traveling and had a huge room with 2 bed rooms and a bathroom; it is located directly at the beach and you have a beautiful view from the breakfast room. Host was very helpful and friendly with activities and information on the area. (She arranged for at the door pick-up for a bus tour). Is located in Salthill (beautiful little town) and in easy walking distance t. The Super Efficient Lady who welcomed us in , showed us our room and gave a full load of good advice about Salthill and Galway. I believe her Name is Sharon and she is truly a magnificent Ambassador for Ocean Crest & Tourism in General for Galway. She is more valuable than GOLD to the Proprietor of the B & B Guesthouse. She provided a magnificent Breakfast with a gracious smile. Room was comfortable and noise-free.Parking facilities were grand. We would have no hesitation in recommendi. The B&B is less than 15 min walking from the center of galway. The landlady was really helpful and kind. She gave us some hints about were to eat and what to see in the surroundings of the town, and those recommendations were really on spot! We recommend staying here if you plan on visiting this beatiful side of Ireland. Most of all, I liked the helpfulness of the hostess, Sharon. She went well beyond the expected to extend welcome and ideas for enjoyment in and around Galway. Ocean Crest is nicely appointed througout, but especially in the dining area. A lace tablecloth at my table was an especially thoughtful touch. Eoin and Sharon were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet ( no traffic noise).The breakfast menu was varied and very good. The venue is walking distance to Galway city and Trad on the Prom. We enjoyed walking on the quay. All in all,a delightful experience. The lady who runs the B&B was OUTSTANDING. Extremely nice, extremely helpful, and went WAY up and beyond her duties. She made our experience absolutely fantastic and I don't think you get nearly as much attention and kindness from any other B&B in all of Ireland. I stayed at Ocean Crest B&B with my friend for 1 night. Room was very warm and hot shower was excellent. Also, my reservation included breakfast and I really enjoyed my meal with nice atmosphere. If I have any chance to visit to Galway city again, I would stay here. Great place to stay. Close to the coast, absolutely great place to start trips from. Staff is very friendly, helpful and provides tips and ideas about what to see and where to go. Definitely recommend this homely b&b and looking forward to going back there. I would recommend Galway to other travelers, but not this B & B. The view from the B & B was wonderful. Right across from the water. Our hostess Sharon was wonderful. She recommended great places to eat and a fabulous tour of the aran islands. The room was very clean, and the hotel in a great location, especially for the price. Salhill is only 15 mins walk to the city center. Easy parking for free. Free wifi. I booked a single room and I got what looked like a family room with jacuzzi!! Great stuff! The breakfast was very good. Sharron met us at the door with a great smile, made us feel welcome, helped us find our ways from doctor, to shopping, to food, and all the sights we might want to see. She made us feel right at home. Sharon, the lady in charge was an amazing person.Welcomed us with lots of chat and advice about where to eat and what to see in Galway.She also cooked the best Irish breakfast.Sharon you are a star!!. It is NOT a dislike but a few small glasses for water, in the Bedroom, would have been nice. The rooms were OK, not great. The shower had great pressure, but overall, the bathroom light was dim. Breakfast was the worst we had in Ireland. Not freshly cut fruit (just bananas and apples and fruit juice). We were asked to pay for two days' breakfasts before we had tried it. We would not have bought the second breakfast, even though it was only five Euros had we tried it the first morning. Unlike all the other coffee we'd been served in Ireland, the Ocean Crest coffee tasted like it was instant, not brewed. Shower temperature control was broken so water was barely warm. Manager apologized, but parts to fix were back ordered. Very hard to find without gps or smart phone app. Nothing. Bathroom facilities. Price is a little high for a single room, despite the timing (May bank holiday weekend). The B&B is quite basic but in saying that, it is very affordable and the important things like security, cleanliness and location are all there. Galway City itself is quite hectic. The bed was a bit too broken-in (aka uncomfortable) but was ok for just the one night. Nothing. Downfall was that breakfast was an added cost if you wanted it. Parking was tight, so hard for cars to maneuver in and out of their space. Nothing to complain about. Can't think of anything. As we chose this B&B to be near Galway Atlantaquaria then discovered it was closed on Mon & Tue of our 3 day stay. We managed to go there on the Wed so that was fine. Atlantaquaria should have opening times on their website which they don't but Ocean Crest was perfect. Nothing comes to mind. I cannot find any criticism with this B and B. nothing. Nothing to dislike!. A little hard to find. Nothing. I couldn't pay with credit card.
