  Good food, we used bar menu on our evening arrival and had great carvery lunch next day. Rooms very comfortable, many with great view over the River Slaney. Only short walk to the castle and cathedral, and 1.5 miles to Vinegar Hill - for the energetic. Great friendly helpful staff throughout, except for one, but manager was most apologetic about ... what people say » that and resolved it to our satisfaction. We would definitely stay again but only if leisure centre is improved - see neg. comments. - Room was spotless and very comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner in the bar, all meals were of the highest quality, the deserts were divine and the atmosphere was relaxed and very child friendly. I could not recommend the Riverside hotel high enough and will definitely be making a return visit. Also the staff are impeccable, very efficient, courteous and friendly with excellent attitudes to their work.

  The staff were very friendly and very efficent. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I would definately return. The entertainment in the evening was excellent. - friendly athmosphere, comfortable and cosy
