    Rooms were clean and comfortable. Appartment contained everything you could need, even had a washing machine/dryer. Close to the centre of the city - only took about 8 mins on the bus which you could catch at the end of the road.     My friend and I arrived at around 10.20am, we were soaking wet from the morning downpour and there was a twin room ready, they checked us in straight away. The bar was lovely, great service and reasonably priced, tasty food. We went to Dublin for a concert, if we had to go again, we would def stay at the Mount Herbert Hotel again.     Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful rooms and very comfortable beds. We enjoyed the breakfast as well. Location was excellent - the bus stop is very near and it only took under 10 minutes to the city center by bus.     Staying at The Gibson Hotel was a pleasure. The rooms are fantastic, they are very comfortable and stylish. The shower is huge and again very stylish.     We were pleasantly surprised by this one. I expected a backpacker hostel-type experience, but our room was on par with the nicer B&Bs and hotels we've stayed at. The staff were friendly at check-in and helped us arrange a cab to the ferry port the next day. There are stops for the Dublin Bus nearby to return to the city center, although there... what people say » are also some shops and restaurants in the neighborhood (and their own pub downstairs) if you'd rather stay close for dinner. The view from the fron - Gorgeous location on the harbor.... Outside seating is plentiful. Full bar in the restaurant. Be sure to try their fish and chips and also their wings! We were staying at there hotel and thought food might not be good. We were pleasantly WRONG. All but the last of 3 days the food was excellent (we had breakfast, lunches and dinners on various days).
