  This B&B is located in beautiful farm country and surrounded by mature trees and landscaping. The B&B itself is part of a working farm. The house is a grand old farmhouse that is decorated beautifully. Everything in the house is spotless. Our room was very large, comfortable, and immaculate. Breakfast was wonderful - The accomodation is very nice and comfortable! Our room was very spacious, clean, and the furniture is gorgeous. Phena and Gerry are very friendly and they prepared us the best breakfast in the mornings. They were very helpful and gave us great advice for our trips.   Beautiful old farmhouse very close drive to Inch Beach and you must go to Sammy's on the beach, beautiful setting and incredible warm friendly staff!! Murphy's is not typical b&b, bit more formal, seperate tables at breakfast, so if you love the chatting with new friends over breakfast, this may not be your perfect stop, but fantastic country ... what people say » setting. Easy ride to Crag Caves and Kingdom Falconry as well (do the hawk walk and ask for Eric with Mary, a Harris Hawk). - On our arrival, Mrs. Murphy? Served us tea & scones in a lovely room filled with family treasures. Our room was perfect - twin beds for my cousin & I - & wonderfully warm as the wind howled all night!! Breakfast next morning was fabulous to the point that if we were not expected in Cork that day, we may have stayed another night! I highly recommend this Guesthouse & will definitely return - absolutely charming.......!!

  Bernadette and her daughter were the most gracious of hosts. The breakfast was made fresh to order, and the fruit and yogurt starter was to die for. The rooms and bathrooms were incredibly spacious and comfortable. The location can't be beat. We were snuggled between the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. I wish I had known about this B&B a month earlier, as I would have highly recommended it to the 50 - Everything was absolutely perfect! Bernadette and Maria were so accommodating, wonderful to talk to, super friendly. The room was large, clean - great views all around the property. (Plus there were puppies in the stables. Bonus.) Bernadette makes a mean breakfast too. One of the best we had in 10 days in-country. It's a great location if you're driving the Dingle Peninsula or passing through Castlemaine on your way to Tralee etc - everything is very close, but it was nice to be a bit off the b

  A truly lovely experience. Lorna and her staff are all incredibly warm, welcoming, and eager to ensure a pleasant stay. The grounds and gardens are beautiful, as is the location on Ireland's gorgeous Dingle peninsula. Great spot to visit Dingle, Inch Beach, the Ring of Kerry, and other mountain and beach locations in the peninsulas of southwestern... what people say » Ireland. Lorna's meals are fresh, healthy, and delicious, particularly the tomato and garlic dip. Highly recommended! - We stayed in the Phoenix Vegetarian Restaurant & B&B for 1 week and we absolutely loved it! The rooms are all boutique style and have lots of character, the food is amazing - we tried the whole menu and every single dish is just perfect with organic and home grown ingredients, and the staff together with B&B owner Lorna are really nice and helpful. We'll definitely visit again on our next trip towards the Dingle Peninsula!

The name is historic and does not reflect the friendly hospitality within. This venue is well worth considering. - Everything about this place is wonderful. It has a great location and a wonderful, laid-back atmosphere. Lizzy, the proprietor, really made us feel welcome and at home. Ending a day of sightseeing downstairs in the pub with the locals was one of the highlights of our stay in Ireland. We can't want to come back to the Anvil some day soon.

The farmhouse sits in tranquil countryside and is only 15 minutes' drive from beautiful Inch beach.   Maureen is a wonderful host and a superb baker. We had a lovely stay at her B&B, the rooms are extemely spacious and clean. The location is great because it's so peaceful and quiet. For breakfast we got whatever we wanted, Maureen baked pancakes or prepared a hearty full Irish breakfast.
