  Excellent accomodation. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location just far enough from civilization to be comfortable. Cork city only a few minutes drive away and in close proximity to Blarney Castle. The food in the restaurant was amazing, with a good menu selection.   Very lovely place with clean comfortable rooms and very friendly people. Excellent location and only about a 6 minute walk to Blarney Castle and woolen mills shopping. We had a late arrival and even had a lost bag delivered while there with no problems. We also loved the amazing breakfast the next morning.   My daughter and I were traveling together and planned a reunion with Irish cousins who live in Co. Cork before moving on to Limerick for more reunions. The staff allowed us a quiet corner in one of the rooms to visit with three cousins and their spouses without expectation of a meal. We had a wonderful visit with cousins in a comfortable area instea - I liked everything about this hotel. The staff are excellent. The room large, comfortable and clean.The food was the best we had on the trip. It is a great location for sightseeing and shopping at the Blarney Woolen Mills. The bartender and wait staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Loved this place. It is the one place I would go back to in Ireland.

It is worth staying there for views and gardens, but get specific directions well beforehand AND know that you have to climb stair - I highly recommend a stay at the Westwood. Eucharia and Fergus are wonderful hosts and very accomodating (we were 3 hours late!!!). The bedrooms are beautiful, homey, and each has its own bathroom. The bedding and beds are very comfortable and adequately heated (it was a stormy night). Breakfast was lovely with a menu to order from and a selection of fruits, breads, cereals, teas, and coffee. I wish we could have stayed longer!
