Everything!!! Wished we stayed longer. Loved the room, the service, the pool, the beautiful design of the hotel, and they got tricycle drivers just outside the hotel, specially assigned for the hotel guests of Melia, which can take you to shopping spots with cheap, hassle-free charge. Loved the service and the room. The bed was super comfortable and the room was very spacious. The staff was very helpful and nice. Location is near malioboro road and the hotel is very central. The spa we reasonably priced and the massage was done well.
all reviews » Strategic location, which is very close by Malioboro street, excellent facilities for gym, spa and swimming pool, tasty food from their kitchen restaurant, great varieties of breakfast buffet and very helpful staffs. Upon arrival, we were upgraded from Deluxe to Level Room without any additional cost. The Staff were very welcoming & helpful. Hotel located very close to Malioboro & other Interesting Places. Great location, short walk from the main shopping street, yet far enough from the hustle & bustle. Nice lobby, good rooms, decent food and great Merapi views (from the higher floors)!. Staff very helpful throughout our stay. One incident, when we order a local drink from bar but the drink was too sweet, staff was apologetic & later did not charge us. All the staffs are friendly and we felt at home. Furthermore, the service was top notch and the staffs there were able to help us with professionalism and enthusiasm. Here is my review, which I prefer to structure as a single item: The staff at this hotel were nice but as a guest one's contract is with the hotel's owners and management team and I would not stay at the hotel again for the following reasons: 1. There was no printed TV channel list & the only listing was on channel 0 of the TV itself. However this channel shared its time with various superfluous hotel promotions. Result, the TV menu was displayed 5 seconds in every 2 minutes and you didn't . The staff were very friendly and accomodating. They were veru polite, gracious and always smiling. No wifi in rooms! It's beyond me how a 5 star hotel could fail to offer wifi. Free Internet connection which is very poor for such a five star hotel. There exist several Internet connection server at the hotel, but only one is for free. This free wifi Internet becomes very slow as many people try to connect. For those who want to have faster access have to pay. Hence, in my opinion, this is unfair and quite unprofessional for a five star hotel. Foul smell in the bathroom in the morning rush hour a couple of days, probably clogged gutter; was attended to after we complained. Rickshaws outside the hotel was quite pushy & anxious to get customers & wont accept an answer 'No'. Keep following us to quite a distance. I am unsure whether it's a norm in the hotels in Indonesia in which we need to pay for the internet access in the hotel room. It's quite inconvenient and sometimes, I just needed to surf for few minutes but the charge is in hour block. Other than this, everything is great in Melia Purosani!. Nothing so far. So expensive not worth for room. Room are not big n just standard room like other 3 stars hotels.... Wi Fi facility in lobby. Need improvement. Air conditioning in the room was hot even with high speed and lowest temperature. Nothing. The sound of traffic during my stay was loud. Avoid the street-view room. There is some problem with the lift (it falls although no one was injured), perhaps due to earthquake in Jogja. Just for suggestion, It will be better if the room Internet access is free of charge. Internet nowadays Is part of people needs. There are 3 stars hotel has provide free internet with the fast access or make it wifi in every floor. Rooms are old and outdated. The couch in our room was filthy and stained. Power outlet at desk didn't have enough power to recharge our computer or camera. Crazy that a 5 star hotel has no wifi in the rooms. The lobby wifi was so slow it was unusable. Tv only showed normal tv, even in the pub, so had to go outside to watch sport. Better wifi service in 1 star guesthouse a round the corner. Two things have to be improved: - climatisation was too much cold and impossible to regulate - the evening buffet was too much 'classic'. Not enough power plug point, I have to take out the lamp plugs to use my laptop/charge my phones. the warm/hot water took a while to heat up, not great when in a rush to meetings. Water in shower did not drain, mattress not very comfortable, no wifi in the room. When holiday season Melia purosani didn't give us comfortable. Requesting a non smoking room and being in one that had previously and recently been used by smokers and was on a smoking floor. It smelt. Restaurant choices very limited and food not very good. No wifi in the room. No hotel transfers to and from the airport. Physically the place was very run down. I was a little dissappointed because it did not reflect the 5 star status that I expected. The picture in your website looked far more grand. Also, location was a little too busy and hectic.
