The staff was extremely friendly. Tried their best to make us feel at home. The food at the resort was excellent. Suly resort is a great opportunity for students with less fortunate backgrounds to study and learn about hospitality. Most of them are volunteers and and are very helpful. The breakfast is amazing and there is lots of choice. They make an on the spot omelet to your liking. There is lots of fruit, savoury and continental choice. Best of all. It's free! The garden is lush and well tak.
all reviews » The staff consisted of HS students who live there. They were so kind and friendly The ground are just lovely, and the pools are very good. There was not a lot of choose from the breakfast buffet, but the food was fresh and delicious. Also the coffee was great! (but this is Bali, the land of wonderful coffee) Suly is a wonderful place to stay, and if I am in Bali I will stay there again. I liked the comfort of having everything needed in a room with room service daily. The buffet breakfast is fairly basic but good. The staff are super helpful and friendly. We got coffee, tea and chocolates in our room daily. We had a beautiful view of rice paddies. Friendly helpful staff, nothing seemed too much of a problem for them. Nice pools. Ac was lovely and cold. Shuttle ran 3 times a day to ubud center and twice back. Taxi was about au $3.50 one way to ubud center. The staff members were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The surroundings are very peaceful and beautiful. Definitely would come back. Really liked the fact that is run by students, they do a very good job, always very attentive and trying to be helpful.Food is nice and everything quite clean!. This resort is inspiring. Sometimes there are large tourist groups which make a noise. The spa is overpriced. Town has much cheaper packages. Wifi only worked in the restaurant and by the lobby. Restaurant meals were so-so. The tours - booked through the hotel, seemed quite pricey for what you got. The food in the restaurant could be improved, although the breakfast was quite good. Outside of ubud centre, you have to take taxi. They have shuttle service for free but only few times a day, last departure from ubud doesn't give you time to eat in ubud, which is kinda recommended because the restaurant at the hotel is pretty bad. Too expensive for small, just ok dish. Shower was ok but the temperature was not always constant. Breakfast good but simple, maybe boring if you stay longer than a few days. But these are small things, for the price Suly is really good!. Confusion over airport pick up resulting in us waiting in long queues to book local taxi. Make sure you confirm several times if you'd like picked up. Latest shuttle pick up from Ubud was 4.30pm, a little too early. Noisy fan in bathroom. You will need a motor bike to go to the center but it's very convenient to get one to visiting Ubud area anyway. Rooms could be refreshed, some mistake in plumbing (hot and cold inverted). There is quite some way to the central of Ubud. Nothing. The pools are just ok. need a little work. Splashing about in warm water, not even cool!. Need to bring sone insect repellent to fight mosquito attack. We paid three times as much for the same room as our son both through letsbookhotel.com. An extra bed was very expensive also. The wifi was only available in the Resort foyer.The bathroom was very small and the shower water did not get away.A bit far out of Ubud and the traffic now can be very busy.Would have been further than the 1.5 km out of Ubud. We came from a 5-star Location and knew what to expect, but you should definitely try to get a room in the "new" building or in the Villa, the old building is not so great. No responsable to check how they do it, took some time to find our reservation. Children are doing a great job but they're really slow and to detailed!!! 'This is the a/c, this is a remote, ...'. The first coming in front of hotel is not good looking, crowded with all student. Cleanliness of room Ugly room decoration. difficult walking to downtown but the taxis are very cheap. too far from Ubud. Facilities limited. Wifi only in the public places. It is very badly located and not worth to pay less. Very far from the city centre - impossible to go without paying a cab. Doesnt have wi-fi in the rooms. The rooms are small and the bathroom (small) smells. Do not recommend to stay. Toilet is smelly and they can't solve the problem. Receptionist's attitude is very poor when we complaint our toilet is smelly. She told us that we had to add money to change our room since they don't have any normal room that we booked. The water pressure isn't stable and this caused the water is too hot or too cold during the shower. Their Wi-Fi is only available in public sea only.
