What an inspired choice for our first experience of Bali. It's evening so the Internet which can be patchy during the day, is working well. Everything from the layout, location, decor, qualities and tranquility of the gardens, size and comfort of the room and most of all charm, friendliness and enthusiasm of the staff speaks loads of this hotel. Breakfast is a meal which will get you through the day in terms of quantity and presents one of the most imaginative and comprehensive menus I have enc.

The atmosphere of the whole grounds was so aesthetic and calming with its beautiful lush tropical gardens, ot's traditional statues complete with flowers frsshly licked and in the ears of the animal statues, the beautiful pool, the dining areas, and lobby, and most of all, my room. It was stunning! I loved the spacious balcony with it's views over the garden and pool, the huge bedroom, and beautiful large bathroom with both outdoor and indoor showeres, and the toilet in a pr. Once again Sri Ratih Hotel has proved to be 10/10. The staff are wonderful, even remembered me from my last visit, and always called me by my name. The grounds are beautiful, the pool clean and generous and the room was outstanding. The beautiful staff go out of their way to help, even allowing my friend from outside to enjoy the pool and facilities. There was absolutely nothing that I didn't like about the hotel, and even though my stay coincided with the 2013 Readers Writers Festival, it was. This would have to be the best little hotel in Ubud. The friendliest staff, in the loveliest gardens, with a wonderful pool, a very good resturant, excellent facilities and just the perfect place from which to explore the Ubud area. We stayed 6 nights in a suite room for a ridiculously low price. The room was lovely and had a huge bathroom and a lovely big balcony. Plenty of assistance from staff, helpful taxi drivers who use the hotel as a base and very friendly locals help make this a wonderf. The grounds, landscaping, pool area and bar area were fantastic. The rooms were quite large, they are face the landscaping with a terrace in-between. The bathroom to our room was outside which meant quite alot of nature ventured into our room ( which was interesting ). The hotel was about 15 mins walk from central Ubud however this meant walking along a busy road without pavements, which at night wasnt ideal. Overall it was a beautiful place to stay. The hotel was small yet had all the amenities we need. It was mainly quiet which is very important to us. The pool and gardens were lovely and secluded. We could walk into Ubud each day yet remain a little off the beaten track. In fact we did not go on any tours etc but remained in Ubud area. The staff were exceptionally attentive yet unobtrusive. My partner is a well seasoned Bali traveller and said its the best place he has stayed. We will be back. Almost everything : the choice for breakfast everyday (excellent quality), all the staff is very helpful, prices are very low for laundry and food. The atmosphere is very relaxing with beautiful garden and swimming pool. Many taxis at all time are ready to bring you everywhere for a small amount. Bedrooms are really large and clean. Original open air bathroom (would like to have the same at home). Just want to go back at this place. An excellent hotel with very well designed rooms, nice swimming pool, great location, friendly staff, great breakfast. Just by availability with the dates we stayed in 2 grades of room, it is worth paying the little extra for the suit room which is fantastic for the price. If you are looking for a restaurant we would highly recommend Bridges at the bottom of the small hill from the hotel. Large rooms. Large swimming pool set in a beautiful garden. Restaurant with very range of food at very affordable prices. Outstanding staff. Quiet location on edge of Ubud and away from tourist business, yet close enough to walk to most attractions within twenty minutes. Prices that most people can afford. This was a return visit for two weeks, and I shall be going back soon. Great facilities, super helpful staff, and great breakfast. We also loved the location; if you are comfortable hiring a scooter it is in a great spot to take advantage of some of the restaurants and spas to the north of the main part of town.If not, its walking distance to the main part of Raya Ubud and a cheap taxi ride to the Monkey forest. We would definitely stay again. We stayed at in July 2013 for 3 nights and wish we had stayed longer. Our family room was devine. The staff were all so friendly. The restaurant was so relaxing and served delicious food, awesome lattes, juices and smoothies. We highly recommend this hotel. Short walk from centre of Ubud. Out of town just enough to afford the hussle and bussle. beautiful hotel wonderfully appointed bathroom bedroom, clean, fresh flowers, details such as towels rolled on the bed in the shape of a puppy dog or teddy bear for my son and speedy laundry service, great breakfast menu at cafe and plenty loads of organic juice bars and restaurants within five minute walk, also my favorite spa in Ubud Putri Bali. I booked for a suite. Since my daughter decided to come along we added an extra bed.We were given the penthouse!We had a fantastic view from the top.Bathroom was huge with a jacuzzi and its own terrace. Bed was beautifully made with flowers. Dinner and breakfast were great, well presented, delicious and filling.Will definitely recommend this. We got an upgrade to a beautiful and extremely spatious suite right by the pool. The room and the bathroom had very nice design. We appreciated the wide choice of breakfast and variety of seating that the restaurant offered. The location of the hotel was just right for us - close to the center but quiet enough. We enjoyed our stay very much!. We fell in love with this place the moment we arrived. We stayed here for the second time in 3 years and we will hopefully have a chance come back. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are big and clean and it is all so very peaceful. It is maybe a bit further away from the centre of Ubud but you can get a taxi for less than US$3.- so no problem. Location is quite good. Near to Ubud market - Monkey forest road. one can walk if interested or rent a bike. Breakfast options and taste is good. Restaurant is very cozy. Bathroom / shower area is innovative and facinating. if one is looking for relaxed stay away from Kuta, Seminyak area - Ubud and this hotel is a good place. The breakfasts which were included in the room deal were a highlight. Our family suite room with private terrace and outdoor bathroom was lovely. The towels which we'd find folded in animal shapes (a different one each day!) were a novelty. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend Sri Ratih Cottage. Totally reccommend Sri Ratih cottages, it is a slice of paradise just ten minutes away from the rush of the town. Really nice hotel,great pool,comftable room,nice staff.the food in the resturant was excellent especially the breakfasts. It's a short taxi ride from the town but you can walk there in 15 mins.The photos on line don't do the place justice it's really nice and the price is great for what you get. The grounds and pool were beautiful, well maintained and clean. The breakfast selection and quality of food was the best I've had in Ubud in 15 years. The staff were helpful and friendly. We liked the hotel a lot. It is cozy, lovely and not very expensive relatively. The large open bathroom and garden have traditional Bali design. The pool is also good. But we loved the most breakfast, the food in the excellent restaurant and very polite and friendly staff. Great location, it's preferable to rent a motobike but you can walk to the center of Ubud easely. If you are with your kids though, be carfull, no sidewalks on the street that goes down to Ubud. Good food, good staff. The rooms are design, isolated. The beds comfy. The accommodation was beyond all expectations. The room i booked has gone, however, the staff upgraded my room with no price change.and also we were provided with 4 free breakfast even there supposed to be only two. My family realy enjoy the night there. We will go to this hotel next time. the place is quite decent for the price, higher quality than other for the same price. The hotel was quiet and relaxing, just outside the madness of Ubud but still just a 10 minute walk into the centre. Large bedrooms with vast bathroom (bathtub included). The rooms are in a very nice surrounding (green garden and swimming pool), close to Ubud center (walking distance, 10 min). We had to leave!!. There were no problems at all. Everything was brilliant. If anything, the wifi was a little dodgy at times, but thats just Bali in general. The walk to Ubud wasnt ideal at night because the road didnt have pavements and was very busy with traffic. The outside bathroom made for an interesting feature however this may put others off. Also be mindful that this means the mosquitos can get into your room at night. The traffic especially motor bikes. The hotel was secluded enough to feel away from it but as soon as you step outside you are assaulted by noise. However this appears to be much worse elsewhere in Bali!. One only bad point : Internet. Consider you won't have it, because connection is more than bad. Rooms need comfortable armchairs and lighting strong enough for reading. Not a negative but a word of advice, keep the door from the bathroom and bedroom closed to prevent any unwelcome visitors....otherwise loved the style of the bathroom!. Room size is a bit small. Some of our towels were a little tired and stained (clean though!) - they should be replaced with new fresher looking towels. Nothing. When we were a little tired we caught taxis/drivers outside Casa Luna in Ubud to Sri Ratih at the cost of $3. Plenty of drivers and one exceptional one called I Nyoman who made our visit there very homely. Terrible wifi. The street's trash collection site is right outside the main entrance ! This was cleared every few days but it got big and very smelly quickly - not a great first impression. Nothing to complain but the room was a bit small and I saw one small cockroach in the open bathroom. But it was just once in four nights stay and we could ignore it. A Very Lovely Hotel After all. Not much, there were some renovations going on when we were there but we were advised before and our room was at the opposite so no problem. No on site treatments but not exactly an issue. Perhaps the fact it may be full when we book next time.... I cant fault it. The very steep hill on the walk to Ubud village. The rooms are not well isolated, I was bitten by a bed bug around 26 times in the same leg. That's because things are not properly isolated. If the place was isolated, this place could be awesome. I really can't find anything to write here. - Be careful if you book a suite : The staff first tried to give us a room that was not a real suite ... It was much smaller and it did not look like on the pictures. They were not very honest and we had to insist pretty hard to finally get the suite we had booked ... So do not hesitate to insist because they may try to fool you ! - The hotel is a bit far from the city center, which is not very convenient by night. The aircond did not work very well during the night, it was a little bit too cold and a little noisy. this is the most perfect place I have ever stayed at!!!. The air con was loud... Was thankful for ear plugs. They are renovating some rooms, occasional noise due to building. Nothing, everything just grat. It's a bit far from the city center, but it' s aprice fotr beauty, silence and privacy. Location: when we were there, they were working on a new road. It was therefore almost impossible to walk to the citycentre, we had to take a taxi. The road will probably be finished within a while though. But do keep in mind that (even without the new-road-obstructions) it will take you at least 15 min to walk to the centre (Monkeyforest road). The only thing that i didn't like was that on two of my mornings, there wasn't hot water in the shower. Not having enough time there!. Nothing not to like. We didn't want to leave. Nothing. It rained heavily over night during our stay and because of the sliding glass doors it felt as if we were sleeping outside. Small pool. Quite far away from the main Monkey road. WiFi did not work for me. Not enough hot water to fill bath at night. Shower did not stay warm for very long. Booked out very quickly. Only stayed 1 night. No bad points.
