The location about 10 minutes north of Ubud was brilliant! We caught the hotel shuttle into Ubud one day for some shopping and sightseeing and paid a taxi Rp7500 (a$7.50) to take us back later that day. The view from the resort was simply outsanding. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We had a private pool and spa villa and enjoyed massages in our villa each afternoon. We also made us of the hotels bikes to take a short ride around the area - breath taking views of rice paddies, blue skies and pa.
all reviews » Beautiful pool with the loveliest water. Clean and no chlorine from the natural spring. Loved the bottom pool near the river as this was slightly cooler. No one use it!! so i swam on my own. Great for cooling down. The other pool was also great. Infinity edge to a great out look of nature from across the deep river valley. Lovely bird. Incredible privacy. Stunning individual villas . Duck dish ( local one not crispy ) was outstanding . Had this twice - best duck and yellow rice in my. Everything was perfect. The location in the middle of a tropical forest. The friendliness of the staff and the quality of the Villa in general (lots of space, confort, clean...) and the quality of the restaurant also. For breakfast of dinner, everytime we experienced was really nice and fresh products, fresh juices and food coming from the market. A good value for money. We will definitively come back, this hotel is a little paradise. Loved it! Suggest it! Will go there again! One of the most relaxing stays in a hotel I ever had. Hotel is located on the slope facing forests of Ubud. Amazing sceneries, fantastic atmosphere. One infinity pool on top with outstanding view to forests and another down in the forests, near a river with a very relaxing atmosphere. Nicely decorated and very comfortable villas. Flower garland, welcome drink, flower bath for feet and we`ve got as well 30 minutes feet massage each which my girlfriend madeover to 1 hour full body massage for I doesn`t like massages at all. Spectacular views and sounds of nature. Very beautiful scenery, relaxing atmosphere with unique landscape design with 'wow' effect when fist time saw it, very helpful staff. Thankfully it wasn't raining when we were there - I can imagine it being a bit slippery otherwise. Not for the mobility challenged!!. TV was mysteriously on in the dinning room 3 times we were in there with no one about. So turned it off. 1st got the the feeling Jack Nicholas was going to blast through in Shining manner... Only because on 1st night there was no one there. Great if you are a couple on honeymoon but one night worked really well fir us. Staff English was a little difficult sometimes : getting them to understand. But this was never a major. Nothing. Except maybe the temperature of our private pool in our villa which was a bit cold. - price of taxi to and from Ubud centre. Expensive - more frequent free shuttle bus run to Ubud centre is needed. - Pool could do with being warmer. Only one bath towel per person per day. The restaurant does not serve any light meals for reasonable prices. Its all for full high price or nothing... No (small) shops nearby at all to buy a drink, snack or cigaret. So make sure you bring your own. Internet is not working the way you should expect from such a luxe resort. (Free) Bikes are not maintained as the website suggest. Don't forget your insect spray and afterbite cream. Towel must be renewed. Limited food menu if we want to stay at the hotel all day. Shuttle to Ubud only 2 times. Need children playground/activities. -Disappointed in the food - very poor choice for breakfast, cold tea and coffee. -Staff in the restaurant had very limited English which was not what I expected from a property of this quality. It was difficult to communicate our needs -There should be more complimentary shuttle services to Ubud being so far out of town. Nothing. too few shuttles to Ubud. There are lots mosquitoes and flying. Meanwhile, it is far away from the town and not convenient to have visit outside of the villa. It was not suitable for a family visit in my opinion. the hair dyer only has cool air and it took me a long time to dry my hair at night. Food was average, a lot of stairs (not ideal for kids), restaurant staff were a bit junior/amateur,. Very difficult to climb up & going down each time on stiff hill till room hence it should facilitate with elevators for going up & down for room. Poolside service could have been better..we placed an order and it didn't come...but really this was minor. Only 2 free shuttles into ubud per day, if you want to go at other times $10 USD. Would not stop me from staying again though. a little far from the main road. The food was nice but not of a quality commensurate with the venue. The location! It's set in a peaceful area, however it's 20mins from the centr of Ubud in a car. We found this really restricting! Although there is a free shuttle bus to Ubud, it's only twice a day at annoying times. If you want to go to Ubud when you chose its 10dollar taxi ride. The hotel restaurant is very limited, esp for a 4 star hotel. A beautiful hotel, but the location is too far away. We needed to insist every morning to have breakfast served in the room. Housekeeping could improve a little. Far from the coast. Humidity is too high. Bed linen was always wet. It's about time to replace the towels, currently looks more like a mat; shower compartment needs a good scrubbing; there's a stale or mouldy smell lingers in the room. we had 5 rooms in total, 2 has lizards and their eggs. we did not change rooms since they were found out on the last day. one of the lizard even made a pice of shit on the bed. hotel should pay for this. - At times some staff had limited english so communication was trying but this is the same in most hotels in Bali ! - shuttle into Ubud only 2 times for drop off/pick up per day they could have had more timings - Menu should change once ore tvice a week - drink options on the menu. breakfast kurang enak dan tdk complit.
