Spacious and clean Superior room 1027 offered nice views over the city. Very good value for money compared to other 4 or 5 star hotels in Medan. Walking distance less than 5 min. To some of the best Chinese food in Medan. Breakfast scrumptious Indonesian dishes but also some of the best croissants and pain au chocolat I had since long time. Friendly and professional staff both in Asoka restaurant as well as at reception. Requests were effectively dealt with.
all reviews » We are a group of 21 persons. Booked 10 room in this hotel for 2 nights. This hotel is value for money. Eapecially the breakfast. The breakfast is equavalent to 5 star hotel. I will recommend my friends to stay this hotel when in Medan. Environment good..near to foodhawker at night..just a few step from hotel..easy to get public transport..staff very helpfull..i will choose this hotel for my next trip. really comfortable and calm while there, the rooms are quite spacious and the views off to the town to make me happy ... overall good,, love to stay there. Full of facilities, good breakfast, convenience distance to malls and restaurants. Affordable room, food, restaurant open 24 hours, nice swimming pool,OK breakfast. Staff very friendly. The room look old but spacious and clean. we do enjoy the facilities like the outdoor pool,sauna and the table tennis. the breakfast was good and the hotel food is cheaper due to promotion, the hotel also provide transport for guest at very reasonable rate and lastly they provide a free airport transfer. Good breakfast spread, staff were pretty helpful when requesting things, but not a lot of English. Cheap accom for transfer stay. -comfortable room -acceptable breakfast -good bell boy -fair price (room). Convenient transportation. Location is near to airport and the lobby is very wide. The concierge is friendly. There is a pick up delivery to airport. The good cullinaire is around. nothing to like. close to the hawker center. The water has a funny yellowish colour, which may be beyond the hotel's control. Spa and sauna facilities are still acceptable but in need of mainentance or minor renovation. During my stay most threadmills were defunct. My remote control did not work which I reported but was neither replaced nor dealt with by housekeeping at all to my knowledge even though I filled in the 'please fix card available in my room'. Front entrance stay cases. Not convenience for check in. when I eat breakfast, no one offered me tea or coffee. Difficult to get wifi connections from your room. For option, you must sit at the lobby to get better coverage. small flat screen TV set even in Junior Suite. Bad television signal minibar was locked. I didn't bother to ask reception to open it just for one night. free parking voucher was not offered upon check in. Hence upon departure I had to pay for overnight stay of two motorcycles or go up from basement back to lobby which i refused. Size of TV in room!. The parking of the coach is far from its main entrance and with a lot of steps. bathroom is dirty, especially if one has the price in mind. Breakfast. Parking service and small area. not walking distance to shops. the hotel need to do something about the cockroaches at the restaurant. Be more careful with some tri-shaw, taxi driver, and petty traders b'cause some of them could not be trusted though they look friendly. Hotel is generally a bit shabby, hard pillows, unclean bathroom, stained sheets, extremely loud hallway music which I requested to turn down several times during night. This might be relative to other accomm in Medan though as the city isn't that great either. -parking, my driver complain they pressure him quickly remove the car while waiting me. -reception empty talk, promise to convert my bed to twin bed but until the fifth day (4nite) no courtesey call from her. -everyday have to begged for breakfast voucher , why cant the provide once while check in. -no exhaust fan in toilet room, floor forever wet. -slow lift - asking for Rp800k deposit, crazy , i already make pre payment in full they still treat me like stranger. Toilet floor was uneven so is wet and slippery. the water wasn't hot in a bathroom, it was just warm and I have seen some cockroaches there. The service is poor, very long waiting at the receptionist, receptionist is not friendly. - cockroaches everywhere even on the bed -the carpet is very dirty. no cleaning for ages - curtains (burned somehow) and walls were too dirty - even reception speaks.english very bad. - reception, transfer persons do not know anything about their city. no answer to questions about the info.around. no help for the tour to around the city. - minibar in the room was locked. we dont know why. we had to call somebody to open the lock of the empty minibar. The front staff whose name Darwin was very rude when I tried politely to ask free of charge 1 hour extended checking out time. disappointed of the service. Due to the cancellation of flight after we check-out minute time ago in early morning. We request hotel to let us reinstate the room till normal check out time at 12pm was been rejected. it's really too unflexiable. Staff were rude, and bed linen and towels are all shabby and dirty. Breakfast which are depleted and not replenished.
