We booked a deluxe garden bungalow, but due to overbooking we received a free upgrade to a deluxe pool villa upon arrival. The deluxe pool villa is amazing! We stayed in 9A and this villa boasted a massive bathroom with 2 person jacuzzi, outside rain shower and more. All beautifully maintained and well equipped. The villa has its own swimming pool with bubble section at the end (total pool about 7x3 metres), two sun beds and a furnished sitting patio. Besides the luxurious pool villa, the hot.
all reviews » We loved our stay at Legian Beach Hotel. The food was amazing in the restaurant and the Brekky was awesome!! Great variety!! The garden bungalow was big enough for the two of us, clean and maintained. Being this was my 3rd time in Bali, the Legian Beach Hotel is my preferred place to stay!! Right on the beach front with two pools and ample sun beds and lounges for everyone. Shopping a few steps out the door. Perfect location. Look forward to a return stay!!. The staff were great, the room was really comfy although the aircon leaked a bit of water when left on for a while. Having personal umbrellas was a nice touch. We had a very late flight, and when checking out they held our bags until late at night and allowed us to use the pool and a shower room which was really appreciated. Also the website said you needed to pay for wifi but we had free in our room. Daily free squirrel feeding is also worth doing. I had not been back to Bali for 30 years so not a lot for me to gauge from , some friends had suggested the Legian Beach hotel, I thought it was excellent value for money , had a really good family feel to the place, breakfasts where great, the place was very tidy , location on the beach was great. There was nothing we didn't like!!. Found the Bed a bit hard for me. Accommodation did not have a relaxing place to sit inside, just the beds. I didn't like the fact that it was almost impossible to get a glass of white wine from the bar, and quite impossible to get anything other than a local white wine, which is not to everybody's taste. the poor language of the staff who maintain the drinks at the pool. simple words are not understood e.g water hamburger need a little training in english. We had three separate rooms for the adult family who left on different days. Tried to pay all accounts and check out was very slow and got very confused. Our first room was adjacent to the main road and entrance and although there is a large vine covered brick wall the traffic noise was a little annoying. The breakfast was always the same each day, but there was a large range to choose from, so it really was not an issue, just a suggestion that they may like to vary it for the longer term visitors. Our first room was an upgrade to a family room due to overbooking maybe, it was rather dark. Not a biggey really...the prices are very expensive. Should not allow smoking in the restaurant even in outside area. Some of the massage ladies on the beach were very pushy and would not leave you alone. Your hotel could supply an ice machine for your own drinks in your room... The glass doors in the bathroom needed to be cleaned. The toilet was dripping all the time. I don't think there was anything we didn't like about Legian Beach Resort, very nice place to stay. There was nothing I didnt like. Woeful Check-in and check-out staff let the whole place down. Couldn't find my name on check-in, asked for quiet room put right next to road traffic, wanted to charge me for a call I didn't make on check out. Front Counter here way behind other similar establishments. School holidays means lots of kids. Smell around sewage tanks near the main entrance. pools/ sun lounges /day beds were too shady Stepping into bath to shower was dangerous. Cottages are mostly in the shadow and some rooms are to close to a noisy generator. Breakfast not very exciting and same every day, very boring and nothing to talk about. Meals and drinks at hotel too pricey. Bed was a little too hard. The fact that you don,t allow late checkouts which for Aussies is so important due to all our late night flights. Most other hotels have that as a complimentary extra. Rooms very basic and a fair walk to the shopping and nice restaurants. The only thing I would complain about was it was too noisy first thing in the morning for us as our bungalow was next to the works quarters. 27 A would request different room next time. Price of babysitter - $10 per child per hour. Expensive drinks pools were small & didn't feel like they were big enough for the amount of people in & around them. Room service - was told I had to go the the bar & sign for wine glasses. Breakfast staff - some had no english at all. Not good enough when dealing with public. Didn't like the service. Called Room Service for 2 wine glasses and they refused. Called Housekeeping for Shampoo it never came. Asked the Concierge for a Taxi and he told us to walk out to the road (150m walk to the road). Tried to have a swim 35min before pool closed and was told no, go to the baby pool! Terrible service at this hotel. The size of the bathroom was way too small, too dark at night walking to the villa,. Got charged more then what this site said I would be charged. We stayed in a deluxe garden view room. All these rooms are located in a lot, right at the rear of hotel, which was a bit far from the hotels amenities (breakfast, pools, restaurants) this wasnt preferable with a young child. The 'garden view' was overlooking the carpark/driveway. *Staff at desk, brusque and not friendly or accommodating. *Our room was noisy close to tennis court. *Bathroom old and needs refurbishing. Couldn't get into our room before3p.m. even though we left at 8p.m. and didn't even sleep there as plane was leaving midnight, in other words no concessions whatsoever as we didn't stay for breakfast or any of the other services.I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone else. the noise at night .the mosquitos in the rooms.
