A rather rustic place. Staff were friendly, always smiling. The villa is not at the town centre (which is good because the town can get noisy at night),it is slightly further in and takes about 20 minutes to get there by foot. The villa provides bicycles and you can opt for this instead of walking. Alrernatively you can also hire a cidomo(horse cart). We walked mostly as we could take our time and enjoy the view along the way. Just remember to take the flashlight with you because its quite da.

Ten minutes walk or cycle from the bars and restaurants, yet everything was available to you if you just wanted to stay home, and the villa was more than inviting for you to do just that. We stayed here in the last week of our two week trip (Bali first) and we really wished we had had our two weeks at Les Villas Ottalia. We will definitely be back. An excellent secluded retreat. Nice design, great privacy, private pool. Away from the noisy beach crowd. Only 5 mintes by bicycle to the beach. Staff and manager were very helpful in arranging all our outings. The handy man even made walking sticks out of bamboo for our following walking tour. Big hand for the friendly staff. We were extremely impressed with Les Villas Ottallia. Fantastic staff, great facilities and we loved the free use of bicycles to get around the island. The villas were new and comfortable and unique in design. By far the best villas we stayed in during our 12 days in Indonesia. Highly recommended. We'll definitely stay again. Beautiful design. Fun biking through authentic village life.We liked being away from the beach strip with its late night bars and hawkers. We were far enough away from the Mosque to not be woke at 4.20am. Amazingly barely no insects even in the wet!. The decor was just beautiful, lovely pool ,friendly staff I would recommend this Villa especially as is located away from the Party area but still close enought to ride a bike or take a horse and cart to the harbour. The room was very nice and the private pool was fantastic! It 'a wonderful place to stay. The villas were quite good, clean. Private pool. Receptionist eddy's attitude and commitment towards work and us. It was par excellence. Be careful of insects or other life forms that can get in your room. We found a scorpion in our villa on the first night creeping on top of the mosquito net. The villa staff helped to clear it out the next day. Nothing. Cats everywhere. Sometimes they whined in the middle of the night. Also if we ate in, the plates weren't taken away which led to the cats pestering. Pack a hairdryer if you go in the rainy season. Minus for breakfast. Poor wifi, rather old and uncomfortable bikes, long time of breakfast awaiting. Breakfast was a bit poor. If you want the clubs and bars are a little bit away however this was ideal for is as it was very calm and peaceful so could escape the craziness. We went on a fishing trip organised through the villas - I would only recommend going on this if you are looking to entertain children for a few hours. Otherwise I would organise through one of the resorts or tour agencies in the town. The food was slow and arrived consistently cold. Room service came from a local restaurant so it arrived cold. The breakfast - although made on site - similarly arrived less then warm. Also a lot of flies the first day - but they sprayed and it was better after that. Would really benefit from a screened in area. Breakfast is not included in the price, the location is a little bit far from the coast... Inside the pool would be useful to a ladder. Wifi was flakey. Located about 800 from the main strip on the beach. Walk or ride through dusty dirty backstreets to get to hotel. Not great value for money, we stayed on the beach in a more up market hotel for less per night with breakfast included... Poor co-ordination amongst the staff. -Hotel is located too far away from town. It's a 10 minute ride by bycicle and there is hardly a road, it's just sand which was very uncomfortable. -Because of the remote location there are no restaurants nearby, so we ordered via the hotel. The food was the worst we had on our entire trip in Indonesia, just horrible! - villa is made out of cheap materials, toilet is outside and not very clean, airco hardly worked,... - We think you can do much better for this price!.
