I spent 4 days at the Mamaling. There are no words to describe the extraordinary and unique experience you can live there. Tom and Rose and their staff are absolutely fantastic, prompt, kind and friendly. The location is magnificent, a real paradise: in the middle of the nature on a wonderful landscape, in a sober area of the Island, far away from the caos. And very near to the resort there ia a long line of wild white beaches where you can spend incredible moments and rest a lot. The bungalow .
all reviews » This is just the perfect location! Because of several reasons: the atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is very friendly. The room is clean, fully equipped and nice. There is no beach in front of the resort but within a 5 minute walk you can reach a private white sandy beach were you can relax and find nice shells. Because there are only three cottages there is personal attention from the hosts Tom and Rose. We also had a nice time with the other guests, especially in the evenings with a few cold l. We chose the resort on bunaken island because of best rate at booking. com and we can confirm that it is the most outstanding place on our trip in sulawesi. Everything clean, a very friendly staff including the owners. Tom who is swiss is an experienced diver. They have only 3 new bungalows so you have to book in time. You'll find a fan, good beds, shower , Western toilet and electricity almost all day that is n. Small is beautiful! This charming resort is located in a remote area of the island, hidden between mangroves and surrounding hills. The few bungalows are very nice, quiet and clean, with a balcony overhanging the deep vegetation of the mangrove. We really appreciated the service provided by the owner and her local employees. The food is good, if you like rice, fish and spicy, you really will love it. We did two dives in the morning and mostly rested during the afternoon. We also snorkeled in th. Tom and Rose are lovely people and really look after their guests. The location suit us as we wanted to have a break from rushing around and travelling and to chill out for 5 nights. This was ideal as it was quiet - really quiet as we were the only guests - just the sound of the sea lapping through the mangroves. The resort is away from the more 'developed' part of the island with no road to it. We don't dive but Tom obviously knows his stuff and no doubt leads excellent diving which I guess mo. The resort specialises in diving and the diving was amazing. The island is exceptionally beautiful and the people very friendly. Had a couple of games of football with the locals. The staff and owner of the resort were all great and the small secluded location was exactly what we were looking for. Looking forward to my next trip there. I liked the fact, you would feel sad to leave the resort after staying there. Very hospitable stuff and welcoming host. Its away from city life and crowd. Somewhere to go take your mind off normal life and enjoy your space and time. Food is good and there is plenty. Prices for drinks/beverages is fair. Also non divers are welcome. Its a small personal place with only 3 bungalows, like a small family. No kids since there aren't any special activities for them. We liked the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, the amazing location, the great price, the very flexible, accommodating host (Tom), the food was good and more than enough. Finally the snorkeling was a life changing experience. Tom and Rose and their staff could not do enough to make us feel more welcome. Staying at Mamaling was the absolute highlight of our trip. The ocean and jungle experience is like no other. Highly recommended. Tom and Rose did make our stay perfect. Food was excellent and snorkeling sites outstanding. Everything was great!. Nothing. Bunaken is perfect for diving, snorkeling, relaxing and enjoying the nature. To reach the mamaling resort only the private boat is comfortable. If you take the public boat from Manado you have to pass a long way through the jungle, I think about 1 or 2 hours.So if you prefer to be flexible I would recommend another spot. Nothing. Would hve liked some air conditioning, but it won't stop me headig back. That we could not stay longer. It would have also been wonderful if a laundry service was available as clothes take a very long time to dry because of the humidity. We liked it all. Only cold water in the shower !.
