Almost everything. The food was pretty good. The Chef came and talked to many of us. That was wonderful. I felt privileged. I ate a lot in such as short span. And the price was quite reasonable for example - Rs.350 For breakfast buffet and Rs. 650 for dinner buffet. If something wasn't available in the menu, the chef and the team were always ready to make it available. all reviews » if we had not stayed before and had excellent service and a very good rooms on our three previous stays we would have thought this was a very poor hotel, when in fact it is a very good hotel. when we complained about room we were told they were fully booked and no other rooms were available, they did offer a good room the second night and for the rest of our stay with a complimentary upgrade so this made it a very good stay overall. Liked the location, comfort and service - Joe and Abi (Reservations Managers) were particularly helpful when we misplaced our train tickets. They went out of their way to arrange duplicate tickets for us. Very much appreciated!. First class service in all ways. No sign board for the hotel until and unless you reach the gate (Normally you will go to the left and the hotel is in the deep right). the first night we were allocated a very poor standard of room it should not have been used the bed had a collapsed mattress, there was damp smell, paint was pealing bath was rusty nothing worked properly no tv signal no safe. Strange, to make rebuilding with all the following noise, uncomfort etc while tjere ar e guests at the hotel ... Not having been explained at check-in that the WIFI access had a rather high cost! Pity the tennis (not in the best of shape) is being transformed into a ballroom and a storage space. A bit too far for walking to the beach or to the city. The SUPER SLOW food service. The unavailability of 'A la carte' at night and No buffet for lunch. They serve only what they want to serve you not what you want. But good, tasty food nonetheless after a LONG wait. Ac was noisy maybe needs investment. Some of the staff were not well trained.Room was not up to date when we entered. The staff is pretty useless, I don't think Taj invested in their training much and on occasion they were rude even. We experienced way better service in some of the other Taj hotels. Make sure you get one of the refurbished rooms on the lower floors as they are much nicer. They tried to move us once to the top floor rooms at the same price.
