My boyfriend Nico and I had a brilliant stay at Hotel Central Residency. The staff were really helpful and picked us up and dropped us off at the train station, organised our tours on the Ganges and the temples etc. (which were very reasonable and also very good) and basically ensured our stay was good as it possibly could be. They were also extremely helpful and let me charge my iphone (constantly!) at the main desk computer which was very useful seeing as none of my adapters worked! The room .
all reviews » I liked the fact that the hotel is very clean and fresh, having been newly built in 2012, and there is attention to keeping a high standard of cleanliness. There are also modern conveniences, and the food is good. The owner and all the staff work harmoniously as one family, and there is a good, cheerful feeling, and all are genuinely helpful, including the humble, kind tour guide Bindi, who told us things about the ghats that we were not aware of. Simply everything about the hotel was excellent. The staff were brilliant especially Mr. Rakesh Yadav who provided a lot of information about the city and sightseeing and was a very helpful gentleman. The food was good at the restaurant. The hotel's owner has a shop selling Banares silk stuff which is very nearer to the hotel. My family members went shopping there and were very satisfied. I would highly recommend this hotel. 1) Hotel is New one and just 1km from Varanasi Rly station (near Sigra Police Station). Away from city rush. 2) Rooms are small, but AC is excellently chilling 3) Complemetary breakfast (Poori-Bhaji & Tea) is only served, and that too when asked. So pls call reception for it 4) They accept Credit Cards, which is added advantage. Staff Rakesh Yadav.,his service was excellent. My kids, were needed medical treatment. He drove all of us to the clinic and stayed with us and drove us back to the hotel with no charge!First time ever we stayed in 3 stars hotel and I'm glad I've made the right choice. It has personalised service to all our needs. A small place but well constructed and maintained. Staff are helpful and groomed. A perfect place to stay while on a pilgrimage to Varanasi. - Very close to all attractions. Eateries like Dominos & Mc Donalds are just beside the hotel. - Room Interior is modern. - Bathroom is nice, new, and very clean. We have been several place. This place is good. - The owner and staff is hospitality. - Not far from Train station. - Near shopping mall that McDonald locate. The people in the hotel were amazing. Very clean, they clean the hotel many times in one date 2.Friendly and helpful staffs, good room service 3.Location is ok, about 2.5 km to railway station and 3.5 km to Ganges River. Clean, Modern property. There is a mall with Domino's Pizza just around the corner (if you are not used to Indian food you will appreciate it). Room was at the back of the hotel, not as noisy as the front rooms would have been. nothing. We stayed at the place with friends during the 'Dev Deepawali" festival. At the outset we must confess that this was not our hotel of choice. However it looked satisfactory on the site so we booked for two nights. The experience was less than expected right from the beginning. The hotel is built on a small plot as a vertical structure with very small rooms and no public areas. You almost step on the road directly from the room. Hotel is new so the rooms are new, clean and the bathrooms have nic. Room was neat as it is new construction. There was nothing that I did not like. Nothing much. The strength of the WiFi in the room was poor. 1) Hotel has just 10 rooms (3 rooms on each floor), and doesnot have any lift facility. 2) AC is excellent, but cannot be controlled as per requirement. No lift to reach the upper floors. Not recommend for pregnant women, aged persons and persons with leg/knee pains. none. 1.They are trying to be a professional hotel, however, some small but important details make it be a high level guest house only. I.e they have a central air-conditioning but guests can not control by themselves, and the hotel provide a thin bed sheet only, the cold wind blow my head directly which bring me a headache 2.a bit expensive compared to the other hotel in Varanasi. It takes them 40 minutes to serve breakfast. Unstable Power supply due to city infrastructure problems. Breakfast. breakfast really poor. -very small breakfast included in the price -standard room relatively small if used by two people. do not buy tour from the hotel staff, you can arrange it by yourself much more cheaper. very very basic poor breakfast.do not really understand what western people require.cant really call it breakfast. stingy attitude. charge more end be more generous. Wifi was pretty much non existent, maybe 1.5 hours over 2 days...the 'executive' room is very basic and overpriced...coffee maker is just a flask for hot water and there's no coffee supplied...manager's lazy and only interested in talking to people he could sell tours to. Reception staff was pathetic. No corporate discounts. Promised pickup and drop, when actually asked said please consider taking auto. Once checked out, staff behaves as we never stayed in the hotel.
