Udaupur hotel Rm 102 comfortable, spacious (watch your head and the many steps inside), spectacular views of both lakes. Food lovely but prices 2x to 3x more than others around. Breakfast not included (approx 350Rp pp) Spent much of one day lazing in one of the spectacular restaurant bay windows with magical views of lake, good connectivity and ability to order lunch at whim. Roof top tables need to be booked (try the peanut curry). Location was so good and food so good we just sucked up the hi.
all reviews » The staff was very helpful and always available. Great service. And very trustworthy, which is priceless in this city where everyone has a hustle. I left my cell phone charger in the room after checking out and they gave it to me when I came back to pick up my bags. The restaurant is expensive, but worth the amazing view.They left the lights on for us and we were able to talk by the seaside all night with our tea. We have been all over India, and we highly recommend Jagat Niwas Palace. The location was very convenient to access the local temple and the city palace. Jagat Niwas is also right along the lake with a rooftop restaurant so there was a beautiful view. And the food at the restaurant was delicious. Overall, a really great property at an affordable price. Amazing views from the rooftop and restaurant of the hotel towards Udaipur and in particular the Lake Palace. Our room was advertised as a lake view room but the staff informed us that this was an advertising error!. I thought that the price we paid (about £45) was a bit much for a room without a lake view. High pick-up charges from the train station. Food aint that good.. Menu needs to be added with some more varieties.. Nothing. When we arrived the desk staff talked rudely. reaching there by car is a terrible experience. The room was not up to the mark if you compare it with the price of the room. Rooms are very overly priced. Otherwise they did not provide us a good room as promised. Udai Kothi is much better option.
