We spent 2 nights at Young Bombay House Boat on 3 Apirl 2013 We had reached Sri Nagar .10 am and rested in a Hotel Next morning we searched Houseboats on Shikara. But all the House Boats shown to us were old or expensive. We were not agree to accept such Boats or pay such high prices. On the way back, the Shikara Owner offered us 8 Points full ride for Rs.1000. We counter offered him Rs. 1100 and asked him to show us the cream at low prices. all reviews » Holidays in Young Bombay of House Boats is an experience in itself. What makes it special is the warmth of home in the middle of freezing Dal with their unyielding hospitality. In the middle of the Dal Lake a beautiful boad with Star catagory facility and floating garden at your disposal... its a dream. Noor Bahi (the owner) takes personal care of his guests and provide all kinds of add-ons which are real value for money at the end of the day. He would customize his package to suit the un. The owner picked us up at the airport, and contact was immediately very good. His houseboat was New Young Bombay, 1year old, very clean, very nice food, fresh home cooking, every day different. We booked for 1 night, to check it out, but finally we stayed 6 nights. The owner, Noor, recommended a few very nice excursions at reasonable price, a full day at the lake, a day to Gulmarg, with a gondola that takes you up to high mountains and you can walk in the snow. Than we went to Aru, no tourist a. We Just showed up in Srinagar, sure we would be the only tourists... Not a really good idea, reservation is definitely advisable! Our houseboat stay was the highlight of our kashmir trip.every member of our family ,be it my parents or kids, loved those 4 nights of houseboat stay the most .it was like living in a palace .so beautifully decorated..wall to wall carpeted..huge living room bath room cleen.full carving boat. The owner was able to arrange a city tour where we paid Rs 1500 to the taxi driver for 8 hours, plus arranging the shikara rides w. We had a very good stay at young Bombay houseboat!! The owner, Noor, is a very nice person. He is honest and helps you a lot with arranging trips around Kashmir. He also knows people who can help you to get train or air tickets, al clear business! We went on two days trekking, in the countryside, which were super! Also the food on the houseboat is very nice, always fresh and very tasty. Young Bombay was for us a very pleasant stay, we spent one week with Noor and his nice family and friends, y. Initially I booked it for 2 days but later stayed for next 3 days as well. Owner of the boat Noor mohammad picked us from airport,advised and planned our whole trip, booked the taxi at the reasonable price.They arranged barbecue boat,early-morning floating market trip-both of these were perfect. Every morning we enjoyed the simple breakfast which was included in price.We would certainly recommend their boat for all the people who wants budget accomodation but do not want to compromise the quali. The family who run the house boat were very welcoming and the owner went out of his way to assist in developing my itinerary for my stay.
