125 years old family owned Haveli which is converted into hotel since last 4 years. You can experience it right in the middle of modern buildings being built in Jodhpur. Each room has hand picked antique furniture and lamps. Their suit was quite big and beautiful decorated. Extremely clean, very friendly staff, excellent home made food and the best part was dinner under stars at the roof of the hotel.. So romantic!! We spent holi festival in the hotel and the owner of the hotel with his family .
all reviews » A superb hotel. They were very helpful and friendly. The house is an historical building and nice renewed, the bathroom- facilities are new and in a very good condition. The location was for us very good, because directly in the center it is to loud and too busy, but not at this location. We thank you very much for the Help, we got, especially, that we could travel, fresh and relaxed even before and after using the night-trains. The owners are Moslem and new to the business. They are very keen to impress. The rooms are fantastic in size with a huge separate entry room and separate ensuite. A renovated older traditional guest house. Breakfast is basic but reasonable.Located amongst the local working population with expensive housing further down the street. Fairly well situated near the fashion retailers and "on the Rocks" restaurant. - Very friendly and personal welcoming and service of the staff, helping us with everything - The hotel and rooms are beautiful and nicely decorated (rooms tasteful combination of modern and traditional) - Clean & tidy - Breakfast was good, nice in the garden We got an upgrade for both our rooms, very beautiful rooms for that price! Would definately recommend for a stay in Jodhpur. Very nice atmosphere with the garden and the rooftop. The owner (from the family that lived in the mansion) waited our arrival with a welcome drink and a flower necklace. He told us a little bit of the history of the building and showed us some family pictures. They got a nice veggie restaurant too. The room was enormous and conserved the old furniture. Really nice stay!. The staff at Kothi were amazing - nothing was too much trouble. They arranged dinner for us at a superb hill top location overlooking Umaid Bhavan and told us where to shop for antiques. They arranged cars and drivers and airport transfers. This is a small privately run heritage hotel and they put the service at the big chains to shame. Seriously. The staff was very good. It is a small place and really feels like you are staying with a friend's family. The architecture is interesting and well-preserved without being over the top as is wont of the five-stars in Rajasthan. Friendly staff who bent over backwards to accommodate us and our needs. They were protective of us and ensured we were home safely each night. They were travel agents, currency exchange, guides, launderers, carers and the level of hospitality was admirable. Our suite room is spacious, clean and lovely-decorated. The owner and staff are very helpful. He described about his family and the building's heritage. At night, the hotel is quiet. It provided very homey feeling. The rooms are chic, boutique style, the food is good and the service was truly magnificent. They took care of all of our needs especially with finding us an excellent guide for the city tour. The hotel in general is in good condition, the room in which we stayed was big and was pretty clean. Airport pick-up service is included in the room price. A little oasis in the middle of a busy dirty city. The food was good for the price. The garden where we had breakfast was very nice. Maybe a little disconcerting at first glance of the streetscape. It is a cultural reminder and is fairly priced- so be ready for good value in a good but not overwhelming property. And oops they did forget to get breaky ready for our early morning train. Oh Well.. The hotel is located a bit more outside the city center, however all attractions can easily be reached with rikshaw. None. The bathroom was a bit smelly at times but we have become used to that as expats living in Mumbai. Alcohol is a bit limited - they only serve beer. But it wasn't a problem as we were dining out anyway. Wireless internet was a bit spotty. Bathroom basic Not in a nice "walking" area(car repairs)...so we stayed indoors .Pretty dusty and uninteresting along the nearest main road. The length of time the shower stayed hot for!. The Internet was strong at only public space. The hotel is located in the new city area, so you would need to pay for 100+ rupee to take an auto rickshaw to attraction spots. nothing. We had to change the first bedsheet they gave us, because they were a little bit dirty and with many hair on them. It was clean anyway. Very bad wi-fi in the room. Bad breakfast. the location is bit off the city. There seem to be a lot of stuff but they did not always seem happy to be there or as helpful as they could be. The owner/manager was very attentive and nice. No alcohol and only veg food on the premises due to the religious believess of the owner family feel a little patronising... Location gives a very poor impression of Jodhpur. Restaurant staff are not well presented and trained. Breakfast just passable. I wished A/C in the room was more efficient and the layout of the TV was in tune with the Bed. No room services. the pictures made the hotel look much nicer than it is staff (other than the manager) could be a bit friendlier things were generally a bit tattered and run down (sheets were stained, towels were discolored, tablecloths were stained). The location of the hotel is bad, very far from the Center. We hired a taxi with driver with the solely condition that speak English and he just knew to say 10 words that he said when we met him. We felt cheated by the owner and his son who seems that they only take care about the money and not the comfort of his guests. Food was very boring - all veg and no bar which was not stated when we booked. Some of the staff must learn to smile!!. The place was recently converted in a hotel. The owners didn't have a lot of experience. The facilities were forced to be an hotel. They didn't clean our room and the breakfast is little poor. One night we were out of electricity. No windows in the bedroom. Cleanliness was missing for towels and sheets.
