We stayed in a room on the top floor that had a view of the fort. Really simple and clean with a private bathroom. We loved the rooftop restaurant, it was a great place to have breakfast in the morning and look over the blue city. Good location as well near the clock tower area. The two rooms on the top floor had amazing view to the fort! The staff - actually a family who runs this guest house in a heritage building - has been very helpful. Nice rooftop restaurant to retreat and enjoy the view of the town at dinner.
all reviews » We loved the family who lived there. They really open there house and life for their guests. Make sure you try the family restaurant just 5 min. Walk. Room was decent and clean. The wifi signal was pretty weak and didn't ever work properly in our room.The service in the restaurant was a little slow. The rooftop restaurant was awfull and expensive.. Lack of shower curtain but seems to be the norm in India!. The bed frame was slightly broken in our room, although it didn't make it as uncomfortable as it may sound. We ordered foods from the roof-top restaurant, but waited for a long time, and were too salted. Narrow roads leading to hotel ,only small vehicles can reach hotel in daytime.But the view of the Mighty Mehrangarh fort from rooftop nullifies everything. No tv in rooms.. Be aware that there is no access by car (but tuctuc). too many steep steps to climb maybe not easy for unfit persons. We can't reach the hotel by car, although its written there is a free parking. We have to walk with our suitcases 15 min, because they didn't arrange a tuk-tuk to the hotel. No hot water. Not so clean Breakfast. Some more facilities are required like telephone,tea maker thermos etc.Location is very odd. Relatively early checkout, chipped crockery,. But we are waiting for check in from 5:00am to 9:00am, because there is no room available.It Is really frustrating!. Dirty, poor value for money. rooms were dark and dingy, food awful, i had tomato soup, which tasted nothing like tomato, finger chips which were burnt on outside and hard on inside. had to carry my own large bag down three flights of stairs in the morning, as there wasn't anyone able to help, i am 64, not good, and had to look for my rickshaw. will not stay agan thats for sure.
