We travelled through India visiting Delhi, then Rajasthan on Royal Enfield Motorcycles with a support vehicle, Indian Driver and assistant. The hotels booked were a mixed standard between very basic shower and beds to 5 star western luxuries. Highlights of our trip were the Taj Mahal at dawn, Ranakpur Jain temples, Pushkar Camel fair, Udaipur Lake and palaces, Diwali fireworks in Delhi and Jaipur. Our second week was spent visiting Sikkim and West Bengal and Calcutta, including mountain monast.
all reviews » The staff (owners) were very accommodating (helped me get a gluten free birthday cake in the middle of Jaipur!). We were made to feel instantly at home (before even getting our room keys). I'd love to go back when the hotel has been fully completed. Reason enough to go back to Jaipur!. Helpful, friendly staff. Honest advice for all of our arrangements and travel. Manager was very kind and even got up during the night when our bus arrived early - we were allowed into restaurant to sleep until morning! Fab rooms added into the mix made a perfect stay thank you :). If you would like a taste of Rajasthani style but don't want to splurge on a palace-type hotel, Krishna Palace is a great choice. The staff was very accommodating, the room was clean, the restaurant has indoor/outdoor seating and the food was fine. Excellent value for the money. Beautiful heritage building in a quiet street with fantastic rooftop restaurant and affordable prices. Helpful staff and a manager who has an understanding for the needs of the guests and makes his best so that you have a smooth and unforgettable visit in Jaipur. Very beautiful house and very nice family. Not in The center of JPR but in quite relaxed residencial area far from The chaos. Exquisite garden where to read a book in total comfort. I sent an email and called the day before my arrival but It didnt happen. People are expected to call the hotel after arrival and then they come and pick you up. This policy needs to change. Rooms were not cleaned or towels changed during our 3 night stay. no pool. 1. Centralised solar/electrical&wood based system for providing hot water in bathrooms is wasteful in terms water, electricity&wood ,it will be more economical to provide small geysers in attached bathrooms. too expensive for luxury room without breakfast. in location where hard to find. Prices little more higher then expected room quality as whole. Location was hard for taxi driver to find. Biggest issue was the loudness of everything done by staff. The walls and floors must be paper thin. THis was the loudest hotel I have stayed at in India. You could hear everything. We would not stay there again. difficult to find and far away from the city centre. Disappointing room - very noisy in the evening due to being directly beneath the kitchen.
