  Excellent hotel for the price. The location is awesome. You can buy the Tickets to the taj at the reception and they can arrange for the shuttle to stop at the hotel for going to the Taj Mahal. Special mention to the Front office manager Anand who helped us for smallest of issues. Even the gm was excellent.The gm personally checked our feedback on... what people say » the hotel. We had 3 rooms to us and as my mother was old, we had asked for a late checkout for one of the rooms and they politely accepted our reques - Reception was good. Mr. Anand was very helpful. The room was nice and clean. The location was perfect for visit to Taj Mahal. Food was good but could improve. The roof top was a nice place to hangout. The swimming pool looked very nice but I couldn't use it since water was too cold. Will definitely go back whenever possible. All in all was a good experience. I would recommend this hotel to all.

  The rooms at The Retreat are lovely and much larger than those at other similarly priced hotels in Agra, bathrooms are well appointed. Breakfast was excellent and the staff had a very flexible attitude towards guests knowing many try to get to the Taj early. The hotel food is great - we had the room service which was excellent and well-priced. - ... what people say » Staff friendliness was second to none. Travelled with a group ranging from my 98year old father to my 3month old baby with children in between too. The hotel staff ensured our stay was as comfortable as possible by going out of their way to help us. They also assisted with finding a booking local attractions.

  This was the most luxurious place we stayed on our visit to India. Moses responded to my e-mails promptly and arranged pick-up from the train station and a car to take us to the Taj Mahal and on to Jaipur the next day; Rabi, our driver, was not only an excellent driver (very important on Indian roads filled with horse-drawn carts, water buffalo, ... what people say » cars driving in the wrong direction etc.), but an enthusiatic guide. We were greeted on arrival at the hotel and had a wonderful restful evening after - Check in was smooth .Room size was big which makes us feel very comfortable as we have 2 young kids with us and and free space is sometimes not available in smaller rooms. All the basics facilities were very well taken care of and staff was supportive. My wife went for spa and kind of liked the experience..
