Comfortable and well equipped hostel in a good location for onward travel around ring road and/or Golden Circle. Staff were friendly and the hostel has a good kitchen, nice garden (improvements being made) and clean facilities. We got a great price on letsbookhotel.com. Beautiful facilities! Great breakfast supplied in the fridge and cupboards so we could have any time. This was great since our flight was very early in the morning.

Clean and friendly. hostel owner was very nice, willing to help - tried her best to find reccomendation for me (fishing guides & etc). i arrived late at night, when reception was not working however we agreed on how to let me in. They have a nice hot tub and back porch area and a large community kitchen with good refrigerator arrangements. The common areas are also quite nice. Great position for travel transfers. Not really a holiday hotspot. whirlpool in the garden. It was clean and simple, nothing spectacular. Good location, just stopping through for the night while we continued driving across the country. It's a HI hostel, not a B&B or guest house. We were aware of this and happy but can understand people being disappointed. Nothing. The place was excellent. Rooms were a bit plain and did not have the tv. Staff not very friendly and welcoming. Quick to lay down rules when we first arrived and a guy kept looking round the place checking up on everyone. Felt like you had to walk on egg shells abit. poor sound insulation. did not expect a backpacker hotel. Absolutely Spartan accommodations. Should be called a hostel, not a B&B. breakfast could be a bit more various. Though technically they are a B&B with both a bed and breakfast available (at an additional charge), they are really a hostel with private and shared rooms. Generally the overall cleanliness was good, but the lower floor on one of the wings has some mold/mildew issues in the bathrooms/hallway. price for breakfast. It is quite noisy as there is a big group of students. It is just besides the road #1. Hence it is quite noisy. Staff didn't seem to want to answer questions. I felt like I was interrupting them.
