I particularly liked the staff, extremely helpful and considerate of your comfort. Starting with Francisco they have created a home away from home away from home, relaxed atmosphere and a place to meet people of all ages and perspectives. The bunks are a bit cramped but even this made for a wonderful bonding experience. Places like Berakah make backpacking across Central America safe, enjoyable and affordable.
all reviews » Fernando, the manager, is such a reliable and thoughtful person. Never pushy, only supportive in finding activities and transportation. Power went out a couple times all over town, but candles came out and we had a good time on the terrace. Keeps in good email contact with guests before, during, and after the stay. Friendly staff. Very helpful, knowledgeable and caring. I highly recommend it. The terrace was a nice meeting point to enjoy a drink, talk to other travelers or just to relax...lovely!... Copan is a very picturesque colonial town with great atmosphere near the ruins of Copan. Friendly staff, friendly vibe, great location. All good. We did have an unfortunate lack of running water due to a storm, but the owner was brilliant, offered to move us to his other hostel with water, and after we declined, took us there for showers etc whenever we wanted. It may come as a surprise but this place was luxury compared to our previous accommodations in the jungle of Guatemala. Comfy beds and bedding, spacious room, nice atmosphere and private bath was a bonus. We were greeted with friendly smiles. Our room was spacious enough for the three of us (myself, wife and 17 year old son. Great location with alot of young international travelers. Really well located to central square and Copan Ruins, on a quieter street. The price is excellent, and good ventilation fans keep the room cool. Budget-friendly. The staff were really helpful and were able to answer all of our questions about the area. Our room was comfortable, we were expecting a lot less for the price. Location was excellent, and they had many resources for exploring the surrounding countryside, including the ruins. Very well decorated, which creates an amazing forest-like environment Good food (not expensive!). Great breakfast, very clean pool, great staff attitude, close to centre. The staff were really helpful and friendly-the location is great. Location and the balkony. Personal was very friendly and helped a lot. One of the mattresses in our room was bad, but we just moved to the other one. Hot shower is obligatory (great for me since it was the first hot shower of our 1 week trip) not great for my better half who was looking forward to a cold shower. A bit noisy at times, but slept great. Breakfast not included. It can be a little bit noisy, we were in a room near the front desk and could hear everything that was being said. The noise from inside the hostel travels quickly. Simple conversations can keep up your neighbors!. Internet only available in the restaurant/bar area Lack of furniture (bed side table, desk, wardrobe...) in the room. The common area inhabitants, when I was staying there were very loud. Bathroom.
