The Nafsika Hotel in Rhodes is close to the beach, the Aquarium and the castle as well as the old town. It serves a good breakfast, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the bathroom is of good size for Greece and there is air conditioning. The beach is within walking distance, exit the door, cross the busy road and you are there. It is a good beach for tanning but the waves are a little high for swimming. To get to a good, sandier beach, walk along the waterfront, past the aquarium, to the lee .
all reviews » I've checked almost all the hotel reviews and decided on Nafsika Hotel. I'm glad that I stayed there and met the nice family running the hotel. It is quite close to the harbour, therefore to the old city and the beach is just opposite the street. If you're lucky to have one of the rooms with the sea view, you can sleep with the sound of waves and wake up to a beautiful color of blue. The breakfast is just what you'd need for a good start. And a very important point is that it's a very safe hote. Fabulous position, walk or short bus ride to old town or port. Close to restaurant or bar area, but off the noisy Main Street. Very clean, great breakfast, good air- con. Wifi in public areas. Budget price:). The beach is near and the hotel is within walking distance from the old town and harbour area. Very clean and nice rooms. Friendly and helpfull staff. This is worth of the money you pay. Spotlessly clean, good beds, friendly staff, air con, beach view and quiet. Friendly staff, very clean, great location. Very nice and clean. Very good location. Rhodes is a very busy town, with much traffic and tourists that tend to be on the loud side. There was a group out partying one of the nights we were there and you could hear them clearly. This has nothing to do with the hotel, and is unavoidable in any of the hotels within the town itself. For me not really a problem; but just to note the shower is a bit small. Shower area is very small so when you take a shower the water is all over the bathroom but we managed to live with that:-). Very small rooms. No swimming-pool. The bathroom door is in glass, which is very nice but gives almost no phonic insulation... Thin walls and doors makes this a very noisy hotel. You can hear every door opening and closing on your floor, anyone walking down the hallway, anyone talking on/near your floor. Some people had to pay extra for air conditioing( (should be assumed in this climate). Wi-Fi in the room is extra. Too bad, for it mars an otherwise really good place. Wifi is only available at the bar area and sometimes didnt work well. Nothing.
