The hotel was absolutely fantastic, beautifully clean with fresh bedding and towels daily, very comfortable. The hotel has excellent staff who go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. I would recommend staying in this hotel if you visit Paralia. The staff at the Strass is great and always willing to help! We enjoyed our stay very much, the rooms are clean and nice. They keep pretty cold and the air conditioner worked well so it was pleasant inside even in the very hot afternoons.
all reviews » With a big family including 3 kids, and grandparents, we managed to come with the most bizarre requests to the staff. The staff managed to help us in each occasion in a superb manner. They really made our stay a real joy. It is nice hotel, with everything you need for stay in Katerini Beach. Staff is excellent, good breakfast and location couple steps from Katerini Beach Main Street and from the beach and it is not on noisy place. The family room is in fact a spacious two-room apartment with a huge balcony. In general, Strass is an excellent value for money and the owners made great efforts to constantly renovate the building. Staff was very friendly, we even got an upgrade to a suite, but we paid for regular double room. There was private parking reserved for hotel guests right in front of the hotel. Room was very big. Everything was perfect: clean, near the sea, friendly staff.Although we had a reservation for standard room, they gave us a superior free of charge. I surely recommend this hotel. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, and well-prepared to answer all our questions; The location - in great proximity to the beach but not on the very main busy street. The rooms were spacious, looked amazing and exactly like in the pictures. Also, the employees were really nice and kind and would help you as fast as they could. Satellite tv is useless if you don't speak Greek as all channels are local (bar bbc World and dw). shower facilities are a little bit outdated. They charged us for the baby crib 5€ for one night (this wasn't specified in the hotel description). The bathroom was long overdue to be renovated, really didn't look good. Breakfast buffet was very poor. The resort was still quite empty at this time of the year and thus many of the shops were closed. No internet conection in room ,breakfast just until 9:30. Couple of parking places in the street always occupied. Very poor breakfast and only up to 9.30 when they are picking up everything. Mosquitoes comming from outside and also from the bathroom vent. I suggest the management to place some mosquitoes repellent to be available in the room. Bathroom outdated. Two single beds sticked one to another. Dirty air conditionating unit/filters. - small bathroom - rusty shower (room 204) - many mosquitos - very poor breakfast. The breakfast was poor. Bad WiFi connection. Rezervation for 2 days, but stay only 1. They didn't accept to pay 1 and return half money. No elevator for last level, only for 3 / 4 Breakfast :(. They have 2 different kind of standart rooms. The photos in their web site don't show the real standart room. There was a lot of mosquitos every night in the whole hotel. The breakfast is poor and every day was missing some products.
