There are not enough positives to say about this hotel. Marina and Andreas are extremely welcoming and helpful and throughout our stay, they could not do enough for us. The room that we had, built into the rock was wonderful and the layout of the hotel, on the hillside, adds to it's wonderful charm, giving it that unique, boutique feel. The pool area is delightful - very secluded and clean, wonderful views over the bay of Mykonos Town. It is also very magical, sitting on the terrace in the even.
all reviews » The owners, Marina and Andreas, were always available for help when needed: when my rented car was unable to drive (because of me, since it seems that I forgot how to drive a car with manual transmission), Andreas was so shortly come to me and help me live the car on the road side. (Shortly Later on I found a car with an automatic transmission). This Help of Andreas was very impressive to me. Later on at the check-in in the afternoon time, Marina saw that I feel urgent about to go to the beach. La Veranda is a charming, picturesque hotel. The views over Mykonos Town are amazing! The heart of the town is just a few minutes walk away. The owners, Marina and Andreas, were very kind and welcoming and made us feel at home immediately. Their breakfasts were the best we had in Greece. La Veranda was our favorite hotel in Greece and we can't wait to go back. Marina and Andreas were the most gracious hosts and made sure that we had everything we could possibly need to enjoy our time in Mykonos. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool was lovely, and the view from the terrace was incredible. I would come back to Mykonos just to stay at La Veranda!. The location is excellent and the views over the old port and sunset wonderful.Clean with very friendly, helpful and warm people. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of dishes and it was lovely to sit outside and enjoy with a beautiful view of the city. La Veanda is a great place to stay. The wifi coverage is good.. not perfect but adequate. The hotel is only a short walk from town. After having quite a nasty accident, the staff there were excellent. To know that you have the support from complete strangers is incredible and shows that this is a place you can stay at that feels like you are staying with the family. Husband, Andreas was lovely. The walk from the town to the hotel involves many steps and steep slopes. However, that is part of the charm of Mykonos Town and you certainly wouldn't get the amazing views from the hotel without them!. The location is not well signed, and almost each time I tried to come back to La Veranda, I was lost. Of course, the owners always simultaneously helped me via phone call, but still I found it uncomfortable with the crazy topography of this area. Nothing really. It's a traditional guesthouse trying to provide services equal of many stars hotel, so you will definitely enjoy your stay here. We traveled all over Greece for three weeks and La Veranda was absolutely one of our favorite Hotels. I can't think of one thing I didn't like about this property. The only suggestion I'd have is to extend their WiFi to cover the whole hotel. Not a single negative! This experience was a perfect 10!. Wi-fi not available in room. Wasn't terrible but the walk uphill was a challenge but worth it. Climbing up the hill to reach the hotel at night. Wifi could be better. Enough to check emails near reception area. The walk home is a bit strenuous but well worth the effort!. Need walk around 15mins from town to hotel. Staff were not the most friendly. WIFI only in the reception area. Not recommended for old people/ walking difficulties as it is up a steep hill. Broken air conditioner, hot room, leaking taps and toilet, flooded bathroom, cluttered space, Mosquitos, climb from mykonos town to hotel and the Wife??? Rude..... Did not sleep two nights out of three.....do not open doors to get some cooler outside air as you will be eaten alive by Mosquitos! If on arrival the ac is not working, run!!!.
