Athinais Hotel is perfect. Great location in a nice area. The room and bathroom are very clean. Some rooms have a balcony, some others have a nice view on Licavitos.The staff is friendly. Breakfast starts at 6.30, that is usefull if you have to travel early. Free wi fi in the room. We often stay in Athinais Hotel and we recommend it. The hotel was very clean, good size room and my room had a balcony . The included breakfast was excellent with bacon ,eggs fruit etc. Staff were very polite and spoke English and the attached cafe /bar open from 8.00 am till 11..00 was a bonus. The area was very safe to walk at night.

It was several kms from centre of the city, but there was an excellent underground station within 100 meters and the tickets also could be used on buses as well. Nothing. Strange humidity smell when arriving at the room. It only improved after opening the window for a while. Luckily the weather at Athens was not extremely hot or smoggy!. Not very nice receptionist.. Room 308 could do with stain on carpet sorting. Nil. Unfortunately, the key card didn't always work in the elevator. Slow lift. Sometimes there is a bit of difficulties to open the door. But you get used to it. limited choices for vegetarian, little vairation for breakfast for longer stay. nothing actually. Two single beds in single room. noisy air condition - you can choose three steps of air flow but all are noisy at almost the same level... the soundproofing between rooms internet. That I have to pay for parking. Street view rooms can get noisy in the morning. Lobby and snack bar were packed with crowds of people who do not reside in the hotel (there was a conference or something like that). TV reception and choice of stations not very good for non Greeks. Bathrooms getting on a bit in age! Worst item was the back veranda leading on to a very small shaft. not much to do really. Double separate beds in single occupency.
