  The owners were really friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.When we needed information about trains they printed it out for us and they provided a wonderful winetasting evening. We enjoyed the quietness of the guesthouse and the easy access to countryside - great not to have TV! The room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast... what people say » was plentiful. All in all a real great experience and we are intending to go back another year. - Nice cozy guest house in the middle of the vineyards on the sunny hill side, with magnificent view on village below.

  Ellen and Dirk are wonderful hosts who make your stay memorable. We had a room that included a sitting room, large bedroom and a very large bath. We overlooked one of the towns towers and the Rhine River. We also ate at the Bacharacher Hof restaurant twice and the food far exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend the Bacharacher Hof for your Rhine vacat - The room was spacious and well appointed. The staff was fantastic and the breakfast was amazing. The location was very convenient to the train station and was situated in a convenient location for shopping and sightseeing in the charming Rhine town. There are many wonderful sights in easy walking distance and it was also very close to the K-D ferry terminal where we embarked on a Rhine cruise. An amazing historic location all in all.

  We are a family of 4 - 2 boys ages 13 and 7 and stayed there in July 2013. This hotel is in town on the Main Street near shops and restaurants and away from the train noise. Bacharach is small so walking the town in an hour is realistic. You won't find a fancy hotel here. This hotel is in a historic building with lots of charm. T - We didn't see much of the host but check in and check out were straight forward. The rooms were comfortable and we were provided with 2 cots as requested. The breakfast was minimal but fine. Bacharach is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed looking at the shops and also the carousel for drinks and snacks.   I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Im Schulhaus. Even though it was more expensive than my other nights on the track in Kaub and Sankt Goarshausen, it was much more well-appointed as well. I had a room with a patio and lounge chairs, which was perfect after a long day of hiking on the Rheinsteig.
