My flight was delayed, so I got to Munich after midnight and was concerned to be confronted with locked doors at Hotel Achterbahn. Fortunately, there was a phone number for a staff member. I obviously woke up Ramona when I called her on her at home, but she stayed very friendly and provided the code numbers for the front door. The next morning, I had to take an early train and did not have much time for breakfast. But Ramona prepared a sandwich to take along. Hence, the staff was just great. De.

Love the design inside the hotel with the different themes and decorations of the many angels, old photographs, artifacts, quotes on the wall and the small heart shapes you find here and there. Bathroom is a little small and it's not that clear that the rooms are 50m walk from where you check in, wasn't a problem though. It was expensive but was good value compared to other places and it was Oktoberfest when I went so it's to be expected. Rooms quite small. No desk, or table of any kind. Wifi was very weak. "Double" bed was actually two singles pushed together designed in such a way that there was a gap between the mattresses and a wooden beam down the middle. No there was nothing to dislike. Not a complaint but as check in and out is at the Café Camera you need to be aware of the café openeing hours, particularly if your flight is late. Add more facilities to the room example electronic kettle easier for family with young children... The entrance to the rooms was a little rundown but the room itsels was very nice for the money. Pay attention to the parking: book a place inside the small hotel parking or pay immediately 6€ per 24h on street. Nothing that I can think of. The confusing Sunday check-in procedures (Since then it has been more clearly written). the apartment was too dark. As we arrived during the night it took some time to have my call answered using the phone numbers informed. Nothing. No 24h reception is not convinient. My room was a bit noisy - poor sound isolation, could hear what's going on nearby. Terrible wifi. Parking might be a problem. Toilet and shower in 4th floor eaves apartment is too low for tall man. reception is not always there. Noise from busy street carries to hotel room. A bit noisy, internet in the room was not working quite well. Nothing. Stayed in apartment not connected to hotel, around corner. On the top floor of apt. building but no air con and it was very hot in June (93 degrees Far) and not even a fan in apt., very hard to sleep. They did provide a fan the 2nd night after we requested one. Tiny shower and water all over floor after each shower. Seemed to be more expensive than should have been, but not sure of comparative places in the city. No regular check-in after 18:00 (need to call by phone). No (or maybe far too slow) responses by email. The style of the design in the room is a little weired. the apartment wasn't as advertised. breakfast was good but not a big variety. Our room was open to a parking area that had men in it all night and their talking was annoying. Made sleeping difficult. The sign of the hotel could be more clear. The check-in procedure is a mess. We arrived at the hotel where no one was there in the reception. There's phone numbers to. it has very small room. Tiny room at extortionate (Bauma) rate. Reception closes at 6pm, so I left a note asking for an extra bath towel the first morning - got back that evening to find they'd downgraded me to two face towels. I left another note the next morning - and later found I only had one bath towel. You get one tiny piece of soap and they don't replace it despite repeated hints/requests, so by end of my stay I was showering with water alone. Apalling customer service.
