Very good hotel, helpful staff, especially reception. pleasant stay. enjoyed the great room at weekend rates. the room was nice and warm and clean. professional staff. convenient location to Hauptbahnhof station and Ka central shopping and restaurants. Positive and freindly attitude of staff. Loved it!. Room Service charges!. Yes only one thing. The bar is smoke permitted! I do not like to smokeand the bar door should be close, not leaving the unpleasent smoke intothe reseption area. Poor reseptionist have to smoke like it or not. to go to/from parking you had to go outdoors. Not so nice when it is raining. The price of 17 euro for breakfast is to high. at 19.00 only a small buffet for diner.The breakfast is not included in the price of the room. Cold and unpersonal atmosphere. Needs tea/coffee making facilities in room. needs a make up / shaving magnified mirror as the bathroom isdark.A better selection of TV channels = American and UK guests only have news channels in own language! Monday morning breakfast was only cold buffet ( no hot selections) yet the breakfast rate is the same as other days of the week.Not my type of hotel, being an older "tower block" with so so refurbishment and catering for the "bus" trade. Due to low activity, the kitchen was closed, which nobody would expect in this category.I received an automated wake-up call at 6:30am which I did not request. When I called to complain, the staff did not seem to think this was a problem. At check out the staff was nicer but I feel they should have made my breakfast or mini-bar purchases complimentary or free of charge.
