The staff was remarcable and very helpfull. The locaiton is absolutely perfect, you have it all - tourist atractions, restaurants (even running sushi - my favourite), shopping, transport... The hotel is also very nice and breakfast is great. And the offer I got from letsbookhotel.com was unbelivable!!!. Every thing. We stayed in Dresden last year at the Hilton, and styed there again at the Hilton for two nights and then in the NH Aldtmart this year. We really love the city. The Hilton is by the river ut the NH is very close to everything also and lss expensive for the same amenities.
all reviews » Our room was clean, modern and very comfortable. The staff of the hotel were helpful answering all our questions about Dresden and called a cab for us the next morning. Overall, a great place to stay in the center of Dresden and a great value. Hotel's location is excellent for shopping as well for visiting Swinger palace and other Dresden famous places. There are a lot of bars and restaurants around. English speaking staff was very polite and helpful. Large rooms, contemporary design, bike rental, friendly and helpful staff, nivea gift package, very good location with lots of cafes and restaurants and an underground parking lot just around the corner. We could easily push my wifes wheel chair to all significant locations. On the first night there was unpleasant smell from the sewers but it dissapeared by itself by the morning. The in room wifi is a little difficult to log on. The username and passwords are long randomly assigned characters. It would be nice if they could simply the process. Also, it would have been nice to have in-room check out rather than having to go down to the desk. However, the desk staff made check out quick and easy. Gym not well equipped. Nothing!. Breakfast was extra and seemed expensive--19 euros per person. The cost of the breakfast (19 euro extra) seemed a little high. Only other problem was the heater automatically turing itself on ('auto' setting) each time we entered the room. The first night we woke up overheated with dry throats; after that we'd have to remember to keep turing the heater off each time. My only compliant is the church bells on Sunday at the church next door. They go off every hour so if you are trying to sleep in this is quite distracting. Just a note: you have to pick up login and password for wi-fi every 24 hours. glass panel in the shower. Wi fi was slow and would drop out. perfect - stay. Only one thing. our room (465) had a frosted window between bathroom and bedrom. This was very inconvenient. If one member of party needs to use wc in middle of night, putting on bathroom light shines into bedroom, waking up partner. A bad feature, please replace with "normal" solid wall. The Wi-Fi signal was not as strong as was expected. The way wifi access is set up in this hotel is very annoying. You need to use vouchers which you can get from the reception but these vouchers are limited not only by time but also by bandwidth and they limit is very low. I had to go to the reception several times to get more vouchers during our stay. Small bathroom,modern cold interiors. Breakfast costs 20 euro per head, far too expensive. Scarce amenities in bathroom, quite limited free internet connection (quota and bandwidth). The staff were not very pleasant nor helpfull. reception staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming. shower did not work. complained first day, still not working when we left. Bell from the Kreuzkirche ringing from 7:00 in the morning each day including weekends!!!!. double bed was 2 singles pushed together, they slipped a bit on the wood floor. In the room I didn't have signal at all when I went to the source and had full signal I learned that speed is another joke. So be aware if you need to be online. Staff Housekeeping. No complaints at all!!. In an attempt to be ultra modern, the hotel made a few screw ups. The hot and cold water knobs in the shower go in opposite directions, resulting in a brief scalding. Also, the hotel is like buying a car - everything (internet useage, breakfast, etc.) seems to be an added cost. Free wi-fi is only limited in speed, and it's very very slow. only the wifi. Getting into the hotel parking is a little tricky and you have to deal with 3 entry barriers until you are finally there. Parking, though, is just next to the hotel elevator. Our room was not made up. The first time in 50 years of business and 7 years of leisure travel that this has happened.
