Hotel is located in a very nice area and it was easy to get around. Bus stops were a short walk away. Staff were very helpful. Would definitely recommend it. Very quiet, clean room. Shared toilet is also very clean. 10-15 minutes walking to the nearest bus stop (M19, Herbertstraβe stop).It was a wonderful safe clean place and i loved it...the staff could not have been nicer... Romantic atmosphere, excellent keeping of the facility and last but not least the kind service of the staff.the room is very clean and quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and value. The location was excellent -- a leafy suburb just off the end of the main shopping street Kurfurstamdam. We drove, and parking was free. We travelled with older children, and the room had comfortable bunk beds and plenty of room. The price was exceptionally good. staff's service and attitude were excellent, very friendly and helpful. the breakfast buffet in the morning. the goood price for a good service. Environments. Nice building and grounds. Located in a 'well-heeled' suburb of Berlin. The hotel staff really wanted to help us, eg in public transport. The staff was super.I loved it all. No lift, and a little bit far away from the bus station. Hotel advertises itself as youth hostel and hotel, but it really is a youth hostel that admits adults -- the bathrooms are down the hall from the bedrooms. We would have packed differently (towels, robes, shower shoes) if we had known this ahead of time. I wish I would have been told in the e-mail that they gave me before hand to bring my own soap and shampoo on top of telling me to bring my own towel.Fellow residents very noisy, especially in early hours of the morning. A long way out of the centre of the city, a bit hard to find. No own toilet+bathroom.there is a creepy feeling over the night. you can hear anything and its always feels like someone trying open your door. there are not towels.The toilets are not in the rooms. You have no privacy in the showers because there are no doors.

Our "Haus der Begegnung" ("House of Encounters") is spread over a large area of more than 23,000m². As well as the hotel and youth hostel, you will find here a popular restaurant, a kindergarten and two doctor's practices. In the former "House of the Gardener" you find a botanic nursery. In an annex there is a welfare centre and a mentoring organisation.
Important information to guests
Bed sheets are provided free of charge. Guests may bring towels with them, or can use the guest house's towels for a small extra charge.
Guests travelling with children are kindly asked to inform the hotel the age of the children prior to arrival.

The St. Michaels Heim is located in the quiet, affluent neighbourhood of Berlin-Grunewald, directly on Lake Herthasee in a beautiful park. In only a few minutes on foot or by bus you can reach Kurfürstendamm street with its pubs, clubs, shops, cinemas and theatres. The trade fair centre at the Funkturm (Radio Tower), the ICC convention centre and the central bus station are easily accessed by public transport.
