Our stay was for only a few nights, but if we are to ever visit Berlin again, I would definately choose to stay at this hotel. The room was small but comfortable. The lift was a definate plus (very old style it really makes an impact. I personally loved it!) The hotel is very centrally placed to enable easy transportation around the city. The breakfast included in the price was delicious.

Hotel needs to upgrade hot water supply. There was no hot water in the morning on the last day of our visit.Small bathroom. The area is not really nice but on a positive side the undreground stop is just 2 minutes far. it was cold. not all of the receptionists are speaking english; if you go there by car be aware that in Berlin is a new regulation and you have to buy some sort of vignette - the hotel staff didn't inform me about that.No shower in the en-suite - only an extra large corner bath :-). There were no shower gel, soap end ect.in the bathroom, but anyway it was no problem.The breakfast facilities could not cope with too many guests at oncewith not enough tables. The staff were slow in clearing the tables andreplenishing the breakfast food. It would have been nice if the hotelhad a small bar as well. very cold inside.though it is said that Wittelsbach is a new hotel in fact it is a renovated one. furniture was clean but not at all new as well as bathroom and wallpaper. the worst thing and our continious stress was shower! we could never adjust it to the necessary temperature - its either hot or cold and never warm. my wife could hardly wash her hair. In fact, the hotel is nice but this shower - arrrrggghhhh. The room was rather cold..First day that we arrived they gave us a very uncomfortable noicy room.We asked politely for another room and they told us that they have no more rooms.We ordered the room on July so we could not understand it.We told the woman that we shall not stay in this room so she suddenly found another room.We entered the room and somebody else was there the room was full.Finally she gave us a proper room. Not exactly close to Kurfürstendamm!. The shower was cold continuosly for three days. No soap in the bathroom. Yes, we were four couples who paid the same price. However the size ofrooms and toilets varied greatly, I.E., some had very big rooms andtoilets but others only half the size. Some even had a couch. There wassupposed to be a radio but there was none. There was supposed to be asafe but not every room had one.it was very cold in the room, and the bathroom was very little. Hotel is old, drafty, personnel is not very bright. Bad value for money. Staff unhappy when we showed up as a group of teachers,parents and SCHOOLCHILREN.We had to pay 300 euro for expected damage.The children were of course well behaved all the time,so we got our money back.But when three adults sat on a bed,the frame broke,and we had to pay through our noses for the repair.Hairdryers not functioning.
