Secondly, they gave me information on how to get around Berlin, where the best sights are to see and so forth - that was greatly appreciated - better than most 5 star hotels!. The location of the hotel was excellent- one street away from the Ku'damm and close to the underground. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Okay, the hotel is dated, but the room were very clean and comfortable. The hallways, however, could use a little freshening up (i.e. new carpets would be a start). The carpet in the corridor outside the room was needing replaced as it was shoddy and badly stained and gave a poor impression before entering the room which was thankfully much better than the corridor!. nothing really wrong, it was a pleasant stay. no hot water on a few occasions, funny smell in the bathroom, no shower caps. The time for check-in was 2pm, which is not very convenient for travellers whose flight comes into Berlin in the morning. the room could have done with coffee making facilities and new carpets s. Nothing I did not like, but suggest "Do Not Distrub" and "Please CleanRoom" notices for the room doors. Not exactly negativ, the bathtubs should have been changed with showers, then the baths would have looked much nicer. resepcion could try to be a bit more short tempered when people ask questions. . It really should have a proper bar but there are good bars about 100/150 metres away. Light in the room could be reinforced; Matrace was a bit too soft; Extra blanket would have been appreciated;. No coffee in the room. Complete lack of luggage storage. On the morning of our departure we asked to leave bags in reception until we needed to go to the airport. The receptionist suggested we leave them out in the lobby, hardly a secure method. We opted to carry them to the station.why there is no internet acss from room? and no Maintenance the door of blcoon was broken. Brekfast. I little old and not renewed. Leaving the room at 11a.m. is early and out of the normality for hotels. I think the rank of the hotel and the price is reasnable. So the mattching is ok. Reported safe was inoperable but it was not fixed during stay. The light fitting fell down and had to ask twice for it to be fixed. 7,50 euro for breakfast, no room service. the wc doors were broken, so i could not to close them or if i closed, could not open. Need more TV chanels in english not only BBC and CNN. no water cooker especially in the winter season we need drinking hot water in the room. no hot breakfast. No "Do not disturb" sign , colapsed beds. The beds/matresses were very lumpy and soft, a.k.a. sore backs when one wakes up. The furniture and the carpets need refreshment as needs the bathroom instalation. Breakfast available for an extra price.carpets and other things too well used, bathroom on the small side, breakfast - too few choises considering price. Pretty run down in parts. Carpet in the front hall was stained, as was carpet in my room. The photos on the web were misleading and much, much nicer than the actual property. Some of the desk staff spoke little English and could not be helpful; others were fine.There were no facilities for tea/coffee.
