The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hostel was clean and tiddy. They sold the Berlin Welcome Card which was very convenient and they are right across from a U-bahn stop. They are also right by a road with a lot of traffic but the hostel is back off the street so you don't hear any of it, which is great. However, this hostel is definitely for travelers on a budget because there isn't much in the way of facilities and people who stay there are up late so there is some noise. So this h.
all reviews » Party hostel where they'll sell you beer all night. Close to food and clubbing. The rooms are pretty well insulated from the main room which is where all the noise is. Attentive staff that always tried to help. When there were issues things seemed to be fixed pretty quickly without having to complain. Nice living room, good place to meet other travelers. It is very close to S-bahn, just 1 min walk from that. Still, it is quite far from the city center. Mybe because it is located in the relatively poor area, it is not so clean with the environment. The staff are very nice and helpful!. simple hotel. There are only 2 toilets and 3 showers for all the girls. This did end up not being a problem since you have to push a button every so often to keep the water running in the shower, thus people don't spend that much time in the shower. However, as I said, this is definitely a budget place that is clean with nice staff. Party hostel where they'll sell you beer all night. If you are comfortable with the "genuine" bargain friendly youthful hostel (i.e. 16 people per dorm, a terribly smelly room in the morning and people coming into the room in the early hours) then you'll be fine here. Smoking allowed in main lobby. WiFi slow. Bad selection of beers. Insufficient reading lighting for each bed.I witnessed couples sleeping together in single bunk beds (get a room!) in dorm 7. The water on the showers was warm, but not hot, which is not a good thing to happen in Berlin in February. Also the bathrooms were not heated enough. Not so many places to charge your phone in the room. There were some "bed lamps", but they didnt work. When people came back at night, they had to turn on the room lamp, which would disturb others.
