Location, room, service, and price. Great hotel! Highly recommended. Car park across the street (Place Gutenberg) was very convenient too, but pricey (21 euro for 24hrs). The location of the hotel is excellent, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and nice and the breakfast buffet had a good variety of choices.Central to the Cathedral/main areas and very nice furnishings and decor.The staff was amazing!.

Also, the Gutenberg parking, even if it is expensive, is just 50m away from the hotel, and is extremely handy (parking in Strasbourg is *really* a pain). The hotel is generally very good, even though some rooms may remind you the time when you stayed at your grandparent's place (because of the odor). Front desk people were very helpful and warm. Room (19) was spacious andbeds were particularly comfortable..Other rooms are smaller but withmore lite and views. The location and price were excellent and we stayed5 nights. The hotel is classy and provides the essencials, for a veryfair price and the location could not be better..The room which i stayied was kind of different from pictures on the web. A bit noisy. breakfast is not include...Our room was on the last floor. It was interesting to be near the roof. But the toilet and the shower were upstairs in the same room. It was ok for us, but somebody can feel discomfort. Nothing - it was as advertised and suited all of our needs !. The only reason we gave the hotel a "good" rather than an "excellent"for services / facilities is because you must pay extra for breakfastand that was spendy. It could easily add 20% to the cost if paying fortwo to eat. As a result we skipped the breakfast and ate at nearbyrestaurants for less. The hotel does not have a bar, either. But it isnear to many great terraces, etc. So it is okay. the price for the breakfast was a bit steep. Dining facility was a bit small for the number of people at breakfast onthe Sunday morning, however the staff said this is not a problem onother mornings - breakfast was quite good value at this hotel. Getting connected to internet was a serious problem that was solved onlythe very last night.Somewhat noisy some nights as our room overlooked a nightclub, but with windows closed and air con on, it wasnt too bad. the unenclosed siting of the toilet at the top of the stairs leading to the mezzanine bathroom. Not being able to get a drink (in the hotel at times other than breakfast -would have been nice especially in the eve or mid-afternoon. I found climbing stairs in my room to access the bathroom difficult - very steep, narrow tread, wooden and slippery. Also the shower was quite low and flooded the floor (no curtain). Relatively loud due to the closeness to the cit center (did not bother us much).The room was not ready when we arrived. Breakfast too expansive. Lobby was being renovated for first five days of the stay, not a big deal but it colors your first impression of the hotel in a somewhat negative light. Finished lobby was nice.The doors to the bathroom in the room were glass and allowed the bright light from the bathroom to shine out at all times. This was especially bad during the night. I would suggest they change the doors to wood. bathroom ventilation. not replenishing bathroom kit supplies each day. not their fault, but we were put in a smoking rom. Frankly, nothing. rooms on the Rue des Serruriers side are a bit noisy. One of our bedroom was located on the ground floor opposite a club.Extremely noisy on a Saturday night until early hours. Check-in: the room was not ready at 14:00 -> we had to wait for an hour+. No discounts negotiated with the with the closest public parking (20Euros / day).no drinks, no minibar. after midnight there is also no possibility to get something to drink there. A beautiful building that has been destroyed by badly thought outrefurbishments and fire regulation modifications resulting in shabby,disfunctional access routes and depressing rooms.
