  This was one of my favorite places I stayed in my 5 weeks of travel. It was superlative in terms of cleanliness, orderliness, value for the money, and the beautiful surroundings did not hurt. Bedroom big enough for 3 adults and dog, without shuffling round each other. Bathroom also very good size. Staff extremely helpful. Nice little bar area for a nightcap. Didn't try breakfast as we had an early train, but area looked clean and pleasant. Would stay again.

  As we had an issue with the booking (it seems that there was no more room available), we were called by the hotel 1 hours after we bookeed (55e for 3 people - 1 room) and proposed to be upgraded to another hotel (105e per night/room) but we paid 55e.   The room was newly decorated, it was simple but classy. The bed was very comfortable. The staff spoke good English and were very helpful. There is a free carpark. Hotel has an excellent location - right in the centre of the town, about 5-10 minutes walk to the beach.   Initially we picked the hotel because we only wanted to spend one night in Calais en route to central France and it was reasonably priced. We found it to be excellent on all matters.   St Omer is a lovely little town only about 30 minutes away from Calais, so if you want to get away from the bustle its a great place to relax outside a bar.
