Loved being in the heart of things - next door to the moulin rouge, in an area of paris that never sleeps. We were four storeys up with a full length balcony, so could watch everything from our apartment.noise was not a problem as he apartments are double glazed. Despite some Paris in the springtime snow, the apartment was warm and cosy. We enjoyed having the use of a kitchen to eat at home when we felt like it. But also loved the restaurants which were a 5 minute walk away. Highly recommend 'L.
all reviews » Location: in the middle of a lively area that stays awake throughout most of the night (hotel is adjcent to Moulin Rouge), it is also 50m from an entrance to the metro. Still at night, if the windows are shut - the room is quiet and cozy. Size: it is certainly not large, but compared to other places at this price range we managed (with 5/8yr old kids) perfectly well inside - anything more may become an issue! Everything inside seemed to work fine, we even managed to cook one meal :) Price: exce. Florence was extremely helpful and went above and beyond in her duties when we had a medical emergency. I cannot thank her enough. I would highly recommend Residence Blance not only for the great help and support from Florence but also I feel that after seeing a lot of different areas around Paris I felt that this location had a more local feel to it. The streets are narrow, there are more delis, bakeries, cafes ect. that gives it that local feel. Downtown Paris with the wider streets and the . The location of Residence Blanche was perfect. A step away from the metro station and around the corner from the Montmartre area with the little bakeries, cafes and fruit shops. The staff were all very friendly. We had a problem with our key card on one of the nights and the manager came back to the residence to help us unlock our door. I would highly recommend Residence Blanche. Very good value for money!!. Excellent location near the underground station. Few supermarkets in the vincinity some of those open even on Sunday evening. Lots of small restaurants and take away food around. Would recomend Zebra at the top of Rue Lepic. Very small lift, only two can fit in but hey, you get used to it. Florance was very firendly and told us all we needed to know and asked her. The location was perfect, with restaurants and the metro on your doorstep. Apartment had everything you need for a short stay, and was very warm (it was cold outside!). Beds were very comfortable. Shower was hot. Lift was very useful when carrying luggage. Room was cleaned after 2 nights. Would definitely stay here again. Excellent staff. Very central location in restaurant and night life area of Montmatre including Moulin Rouge, walking distance to tourist sights, and located in restaurant area. The Metro was handy, located across the intersection. Location is excellent! The room is well equip, although is quite small. Nice interior design with everything you need. Florence was very helpful and welcoming. The location is superb - a very vibrant neighbourhood with plenty to do and see, yet Residence Blanche was an oasis of calm amidst it all. It is not a hotel it’s more like apartments, nice rooms with a small kitchen (with necessary kitchen appliances) where you can make tea etc. The woman who met us was very kind and showed the room. Very good location of the hotel to go sightseeing of Pigalle and Monmatre. You can also walk to the Opera and Galeries Lafayette, it will take only 10 minutes. Montmatre area is nice if you overlook the seedy parts of Pigalle. Tiny elevator - may be difficult for older people (we stayed at the first floor anyway :-) it barely fits the luggage and a slim person. Lift and room small. But its not a luxury place so we didn't expect luxury. The key card could be unreliable at times due to it being magnetic. No oven. One bedroom apartment was a bit small - would have been a struggle with 4 people, but great for 2 of us. Sofa bed fine as a bed, but a bit uncomfortable as a sofa. As a one bedroom apartment for 4 people it was too small. The sofa bed was uncomfortable. Access to the one small bathroom was through the bedroom past the other sleeping couple. Lounge/dining area was small. This room is suited for 2 people. The sofa bed is not so comfortable & need to fold back after wake up since the space is too small. Lift was too small. Nothing negative to report. I couldn't fault anything. Bed is a fold out couch, so not very comfortable, wifi was a but unreliable. Noisy area. No a/c (but with roof fans). The room was quite small and got very warm at night with the windows closed. The room could get very hot in summer and if you opened the windows to cool down the room would be very noisy. There was no 24 hour reception which was a problem when we left our key in the room overnight. We were not told that there was a solution if we did this. A bit noisy but that was the street noise not hotel noise, so not much can be done about that. One of the joys of staying near Moulin Rouge. :) Oh and the police who think its a great idea to have the sirens on at 1 and 2 in the morning. Small, noisy all night, poor bed quality as a pull out couch not advertised as such. No toilet roll and shower did not angle properly. basically I am not see disadvantages... only that there is no conditioner. The carpet (in my room anyway) is ripe for a deep clean or replacement. It didn't bother me the slightest (I found it quite cute, actually), but if you have the mildest claustrophobia, don't take the elevator :-). Not a good area late at night. the sofa bed wasn't comfortable to sleep on. rooms rather small. Fan in our room didn't work and it was hot. No shampoo in the bathroom. But you can ask it when you come. Very inconvenient to travel by car, but if you do, in front of Monmatre (800m) there is a big underground garage, also very convenient, but expensive – 33 EUR per day. We travelled by car and was important to come not later than 19:30 otherwise we needed to call and agree how to collect the keys from the room. The street is noisy at night. Not very convenient to travel with children. Room was a bit too small and cramped for a family. The stairway to reception was tight and not easy to bring the luggage up to reception. The lift is smaller than a cabin toilet. The apartment was much smaller than envisaged and the pillows were really flat. The common walkways reeked of overnight garbage since these had to be left outside of the apartment for disposal by the cleaning lady. We washed the dishes prior to departure but were still charged 25 euros. not good for small children not very clean, rooms small, a lot of maintenance needs to be done. broken shower doors, sofa pull out bed. Room was too hot, no air conditioning, very noisy place. An hotel for tourist. The room was not as big as it said . The carpet was dirty , and the hotel which says that it not an hotel ask you to bring down your own garbage !!! very poor service for 100 euros ..
