the hotel is undergoing a complete refurbishment and new rooms are very nicely done - nothing flash but very clean, modern and everything you need. Will be better when refurb finished. Great central location 5 mins walk from L'Opera in very quiet side-street off busy boulevard. Good value for money. Location was good - great food and nightlife nearby and places to explore. Short metro ride to everything and staff was very friendly. You could come back anytime at night and breakfast in the morning was great (just coffee and bread).
all reviews » First of all the central location, we walked nearly everywhere and if neaded metro was 100m away, room was small but well equipped, clean and comfortable, i honestly expected less for that kind of money. Stuffs are nice, can check in earlier than most of hotel, it brings a lot convenient, they speak english and breakfast is value. Near metro(underground) station. located in city centre. The staff was adorable. Very helpful. The design of the rooms is really great. The rooms are spacious which is seldom in Paris. I would definetily recommend this hotel. Although the toilet was separate, the shower was in-room - and it was pristine. Obviously recently refurbished, it was clean and sleek. No sign of mould or dirt. Great localization - nearby metro station. Renovated room was clean and in high standard. In Neighborhood many restaurants and Carrefour Market open till 23h. Clean and very good location. Wifi worked perfectly even at the top floor. People at the reception were nice and helpful. Definitely would go back. The price adequate to the value that you get. The hotel is well located and the staff is nice. Close to a metro station which was good. no kettles or cups in kitchenette! Young staff a bit unorganised and you will need to speak basic French if you want help with itinerary etc. Wifi did not work in the room and one night it did not work downstairs either. People talk in corridor, in the room can heard clearly so a bit noise, and bed table not very clean... The sheets were too small for the double sofa bed we slept on. The sofa was not super comfi to sleep on. My husband is tall. The sofa was too short. Hot water was a bit variable. No lift and narrow stairs which made it more difficult to carry the suitcases to the last floor. Though breakfast was included to the price, but there were always not enough tables for the hotel guests to have breakfast at the same time. You had to wait for a table. The staff was not enoug helpful to inform about the situation. The website says check in closes at 9 this is not correct it is basically 24/7 staffed ... This can catch you out if your not on top of it ... No elevator, so if you have heavy luggage be prepared to lift it up yourself. Some rooms are under renovation. no elevator for luggage, outdated lobby and breakfast room. none. Would have appreciated a hook on bathroom door to hang my towel. It lacked some basic objects due to the recent reform. exemple: soap dish, hook for towels and clothes, shower box... Asked for a double room and was given two single beds. Also the pillows are dreadful. no towel hangers bathroom, and screw sticking up in shower. The ceiling sound insulation was not so good enough-it was somewhat troblesome to wake up at night by returning of upper neighbours.Only one door key and it was necessary to leave it on the reception every time when going out.The double on studio was actually not bed but pull-out foam sofa, so, it was ok for children, but not for adult if sleaping more than one night. The cleanliness was an issue. The quad room that we had was on the third floor and a very narrow steps making it hard for little children. It didn't have a lift, so it was really tough to go up and down with four suitcases.The hotel was under some reconstruction, but my room was renovated. I didn't care about that, but some people might do. Wifi available only at the lobby. Poor breakfast. We stayed in a loft which was poor and uncomfortable for 4 people! But the worst one: no lift!!. The hotel is still being renovated. I was in a room on the street side and it was to loud during nights. Also a school is in close neighborhood. Bathroom is too small. Can hear everything out of the door... No elevator making difficult to get heavy suitcases up to the 3rd floor studio. There is no lift and the staircases are narrow (specially for the last 4th floor). Quite hard to sleep there if the weather is too hot. Hotel front guy did not have the best actitud toward helping issues with the room. The shower drainage was clogged and he would not move a foot to help until I told him to get me something to unclogged it. I had to do it by myself. There was no tea/coffee machine in room. It was very small. No AC or even proper ventilation. Very suffocating. Service at bfast was poor.
